The Bazaar - Blue District, The Ring
Stepping off the lift and into the Blue District is almost like stepping into another world. The senses are assaulted with a complexity of scents, sights, and sounds. Light that abscribes to the same hours as the rest of the Ring glows from insets in the dark metal ceilings. The Bazaar is one of the central hubs of the Blue District — also known as the Entertainment District. There are dozens of shops and emporiums that clutter around the outer edge of the bazaar with stands and kiosks making organized chaos of its center. There are some shops that have been there for generations, including the famous — if not a little infamous — Gregor's Strange Meats. This is the place to find the weird and the bizarre. It is known that the Blue District hosts the impoverish and underworldly inhabitants of the Ring, making it not only the most mystifying but also the most dangerous district on the space station. There are several corridor-like thoroughfares that branch off from the Bazaar, leading deeper into the District.

The Bazaar of the Ring is a living, thriving thing unto itself. At any given hour its occupants could be found flowing through the channels of its stalls and marketplace hawkers like red blood cells through an artery, and with each and every cell came an interesting story. The variety of citizen and noble ranged from the mundane weekend shopper to the occasional rare tattoo, attractive person, or awkward conversation being held within earshot. The very act of taking a perch and observing people coming and going as if they were in a fishbowl was called peoplewatching…and Lord Nitrim Khournas is so seasoned a people-watcher that he could probably find some way to make a profit off of it.
With a cigarette dangling from his ringed fingers, Nitrim sat alone on the edge of a wide bench. The bench was not only out of the path of the shoppers, but was even at an overlook point just next to a small escalator that led to another row of shops. With dark sunglasses over his eyes and a completely practiced expression of boredom on his face, the young noble leaned back…and watched the chaos unfold before him.

Lord Khournas isn't the only people watcher it would appear. In a side area of the bazaar, back to a wall and shoulder leaning on a corner of a shop jutting out is Lord Densoric idly looking about as he casually cuts a piece of fruit with a simple knight designed more for function then appearance. Taking a bite, the young noble is once again dressed in his more mildly formal style, though now has an arming sword resting at his hip.

Spying the Larent Lord, who happens also to be the cousin of Lady Ariana Larent, Nitrim's lip tugs to the side and he reaches for his earbud. Unwilling to risk giving up his seat, how else was he supposed to get the man's attention for some conversation? He dials a directory service. Between drags of his cigarette, he eventually gets to someone with House Larent that might be able to connect him.
"Hello? Yes, this is Lord Nitrim Khournas I'm trying to reach Lord Densoric Larent with a rather personal request. Would you be able to connect me to him?" Nitrim pauses as he is put on hold, rolls his eyes, and lets a soft sigh escape his nose. If he'd have known that this would be so much work he would have just thrown something at the man.

It isn't long before a voice returns, "The communications with Lord Densoric is currently off-line. He is known to do this from time to time when he is trying to relax. Though he is known to be on the Ring at present. It is best to seek out artwork, gardens, courtyards, fruit stalls, or gathering places of other nobles. I'm sorry I cannot be of any further aid Lord Khournas."

Oh for f— Nitrim thinks to himself, scrubbing his face in his hands as he twirls a finger in the air. While the operator has the most affectionate and polite of voices, it's a rehearsed response that is always rude to interrupt. He would just have to endure. "Yes, yes, that's quite alright, thank you for your time I will search for him there." With a tap to his earbud, the communication was cut off and he went back to watching Densoric from his perch. Judging by the number of people streaming in and out of the Bazaar, Nitrim would likely lose his bench in less than five seconds. Damn. Why couldn't this be simple?
…and then a cleaning robot travels into his view. The lightbulb goes off.
"Janitor." Nitrim says in a commanding voice, tapping the slightly advanced roomba-type device on its head. He points in the direction of the corner where Densoric is cutting his apple. "That gentleman is getting apple chunks all over the floor. It's unsightly. Please clean it." With another tap, he hopes the voice activation software in the thing is working, and goes back to watching the show unfold before him.

It isn't long before a cleaning drone starts to scan around Densoric's feet. Taking another bite he simply lifts each foot in turn and as no apple chunks are found the drone moves along as Densoric takes the entire thing in stride. After all what is the point of getting mad at drones or operators doing their work? Especially when it comes to cleaning up a place like the Ring which would otherwise have no other means of staying sanitary.

"You gods-damned son of a bitch." Nitrim's face sags and he looks to his left where the pearly-white teeth of young children advertising for dental implants are smiling back at him. He can hardly believe it. He shakes his head at the children and reaches for his earbud again. "Okay, this ends now. Sure I couldn't have any servants around when I need them to get the man's bloody fu—Yes! This will be for delivery."
After a clipped conversation with the operator over his earbud, Nitrim settles into an impatient lean over the back of the bench. With one arm over its back, he taps his foot and waits…

Nearly ten minutes later a bronze-skinned man wearing a red apron starts his way through the Bazaar with a red box in his hand that smells suspiciously of the sort of breads and dipping sauce favored by the Khourni. The delivery man takes pensive glances to the datapad in his hand and the strange instructions written on them…

Deliver the food to Lord Densoric Larent, who is standing and— //
//Eating an apple in the Bazaar just left of the travel agency. Tell him Lord Nitrim Khournas— //
//—Sends his regards and is in the Bazaar looking for him.

As the delivery approaches Densoric, Nitrim grins broadly, turns off his earbud, and rises from the bench. Was this moment all-too difficult for Nitrim? Yes. Would Nitrim have a little fun in return? But of course. He turns and makes for the escalator to leave the Bazaar.

As the deliveryman shows up and gives the package and the message Densoric nods passively and after cutting the core of the apple into three pieces and eating each in turn leaving no waste at all, the Larent pulls out a piece of cloth, which the observant might think looks similar to one of the handkerchiefs used by Lady Sophie Sauveur, then puts the knife away behind his back and accepts the package and offers a small tip. Opening the package to look over the breads, the package is closed once again and ice-blue eyes scan the bazaar passively for signs of Lord Khournas, though he makes no move to leave his position till he spots the other Lord.
