The Blue Nirvana, Blue District, The Ring
Entering through the heavy wooden doors decorated with relief sculptures of flirtatious nude cherubs, visitors find themselves in the tiny waiting room of the upscale brothel and bar, The Blue Nirvana. Only a single, plush red velvet bench sits in the small area, and the walls are covered with a darker, more rich red velvet. Opposite the wooden entry doors is the floor to ceiling black velvet curtain visitors must pass through to reach the main sanctum.

Once inside, light piano music fills the dimly lit air of The Blue Nirvana main sanctum. Unlike the cold steel found in so many other places on the Ring, the walls of the sanctum are covered in plush red velvet curtains and Arborenin cherry oak trim. Larger than the entryway would lead outsiders to believe, this main area is actually two stories tall, the lofted ceiling covered in similar Arborenin oak planks and golden trimmings that flow into several ornate crystal chandeliers that outstretch almost a dozen feet each. A grand piano sits at the far corner of the room, and various love seats and couches made of the same wood and crushed red velvet cushions rest in various positions for privacy or presentation.

A few of the Blue Nirvana's prostitutes relax on these couches, dressed in immaculate, fancy clothing that is sensual but not overtly obscene. Across the back wall is a long bar, again fashioned from the Arborenin wood, where a bartender serves drinks from thousands of bottles, vials and containers lining the wall behind him. The space above the bar is a balcony stretching the entire length of the room, the upstairs wall lined with more heavy, fancy wooden doors that lead to the private chambers of business. The red carpeted staircase gently descends and curves towards the center of the room from the wall to the far right.

Friday, April 11 3014

It's been a few weeks sense Kieran had set foot in the Blue Nirvana. Dressed in a nice button up burgundy shirt and black slacks. He keeps a low profile as he ducks into the building, eyes darting to the bar. He acts as if he's expecting someone to be there who is not. But no matter, the drinks are still good!

"I'll have a scotch, please." Giving a polite to the bartender he perches in a corner that gives him the view of most of the room.

Life goes on. Jobs come, jobs go, and new scripts are handed off to an actress who has landed yet another role in a slasher flick. Silver is dressed in a loose top — falling past and baring one shoulder — that bears the logo of some techno band popular around The Ring. It drapes over black leggings that disappear into lightweight shoes often used for workouts or running. Her hair is bound in a braid and she wears no jewelry or otherwise special attire. This is someone who is on their way to or from something relating to exercise.

The woman is studying her tablet as she passes through the doors of the Blue Nirvana in the wake of someone departing. She's speaking quietly to someone on a vid call and there's a wrinkle of her nose in distaste; a reaction to something, like as not. Silver navigates the quiet crowd within the bar with an ease of someone well-used to the location. Her goal? The bar itself.
You have already given Kieran a cookie this week.

Ever watchful, and for good reason considering his station, Kieran spots the redhead as he scans the room. It takes a second for him to register exactly who she was, and exactly where she's heading. If he catches Silver's eyes, Kieran gives her a polite wave and a wicked grin.

"Her drinks are on me…" He whispers softly to the bartender, discretely pointing to the redhead. Other then he minds his own business, letting the woman decide if she's up for his company or not.

"The usual," Silver murmurs once she's up at the bar, not even looking away from the tablet. "Look," this, to the tablet itself, "I'll read it over. I'll take the part. I just-" There's a sigh and she lifts fingders to push back some errant strands of hair. "Yes, of course." The call seems complete because she lowers the device, moving to offer her credit approval. The bartender gestures towards Kieran: "He's got your tab."

Blue-grey eyes track along the bar to the man indicated and there's a brief expression indicating at least a mild surprise as they widen. Silver draws in a slow breath and moves forward; past the other patrons and stools until she's nearer. "Koth. You know… you looked familiar the other night."

Kieran was rather drunk the first time Silver and he met, which means he doesn't remember the encounter the first time. "Oh?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. "I've not seen you in here before…" A brief look of panic flashes though his eyes, as the second time they met he was… well drunk again for most of it.

The moment passes, and he realizes she's not used his real name. "Or have I?" Tilting his head slightly, studying the woman. The brief encounter just barely recalled, his head tilts more. "You… you were giving something to Linc, weren't you?" His eyes squint slightly, trying to recall more of that evening.

"Either you're not here often or you pay little attention," Silver muses; words offered in an off-handed fashion. The woman shifts, settling onto a stool next to the man. She sets her tablet on the bartop, leaning upon an elbow and finally perching her chin in upturned palm. "As I am here rather often."

At the question, her lips spread in a bit of a smile. A pleased expression, perhaps. Maybe a touch of cat got the canary there. "Mmmhmm. Details on a small part in a film."

"I tried quitting this place, for a brief time." Kieran lets out a soft chuckle. "Something about women, but I've not heard from her in quite some time. There was a big inner-family… explosion as it were." he tries to save most of the details. "Anyway, I'm back here now." His head perks up as he sits up straight, a small, but genuine, smile crosses his face.

"Right!" He exclaims, /that's/ why she looked familiar. "Yeah, Linc was pretty excited about that, I was hoping to catch him here… but it must be his night off." Or he was with a client, the idea causes the man to flash another grin.

"A woman?" Silver's eyebrow archs somewhat and she turns slightly towards the bar as her drink is set before her. She lifts it, catching the small straw off to the side with slender fingers. A small sip is taken. "My," her head cants slightly, despite chin still being propped in hand. "I do hope my friend and I weren't… the cause of any troubles.

It's not as if she knows precisely who he is, nor the rumors that would have surrounded such a situation. Perhaps not even the precise nature of it. "So Koth found himself a lass whose family…" she studies him, thoughtful. "disapproves?"

Perhaps he's spoken too much already, but it's too late to turn back now! "Oh no, you two were fine." He leaves it open to interpretation, as it could be correct either way. "No, this all happened well after you and Lyra came along. There was already bad blood in between our two families." He takes a drink of his scotch. "It ended up in a big mess, but it's all over now."

Wanting to change the subject, he latches on to the movie thing. "So, you're an actress?" His eyes light up, smiling at the woman. "Been in anything big?"

"Tut," Silver murmurs, shaking her head slightly as she sits up. She lets her arm fall, hand draping lightly off the bartop between them. The shirt shifts, revealing more pale skin and a hint of cleavage contained by something black and lacy. "That's the problem with families, isn't it?"

There's a smooth shrug as she lifts her drink again, taking a sip as eyes unfocus and gaze past Koth into the bar beyond. Those dark corners where employees and patrons blend. "Depends on what you're into. If you enjoy horror films… then yes. Nothing big though, sad to say."

"Aye, families can be a bother sometimes." Kieran nods, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. His family was a bit of a mess right now. As Silver's shirt is shifting, the hint of lace and cleavage clearly catches the man's eye. His glance is not a subtle one, but it is brief. His eyes stare into hers for a second briefly, the drunken memories of their time in the holo-room dance in his mind. He offers her a roguish grin.
f "I've not seen a horror film in quite some time. I generally tend to enjoy movies with others. When I was younger I found horror movies were great for dates." Or rather, what took place afterward.

"Ahh, I hear a fair bit of that. Apparently my movies ruined a good night or two for poor Lyra and a boyfriend of hers." Silver's own smirk is impish. The glance caught and a bemused smile offered in return. She shrugs lightly, fabric rippling easy with the motion.

"So, what have you planned for your evening, since poor Linc is unavailable to be pestered?" In waiting for the response, she drains the rest of her drink in one fell swoop.

"They ruined a night or two? Too scary?" Kieran raises an eyebrow, curious of the answer. Most of the horror movies he's watched weren't too bad, but then he generally was only half watching them.

"My plans?" He asks her, lightly scratching the stubble on his chin as he thinks. "Well, I was gunna probably have a few drinks, maybe have a few conversations here and there, then go home by myself, sad and depressed." His tone is sarcastic, and he smiles as he speaks. "Unless… you can think of something better." He winks at Silver as he slides in closer to her, if possible after finishing the rest of his drink after she does.

"Scary? Ha, no, no." Silver sets her empty glass upon the bar, leaning back somewhat on the stool. Shoes catch the rung to keep her from falling. "You see, boys apparently let their sex drive get away from themselves and drooling over the girl on the screen rather than the one in their arms?" She makes a soft 'tut' sound, before glancing over to the man as he moves in closer.

Lips twitch upwards in that slightly bemused tick of lips. Silver is comfortable in her element at the moment. She leans in; settling weight on the arm that rests between them. "I was going to get some exercise after a drink or two." She winks, "Have to keep this body somehow."

Kieran grins knowingly, he's made that mistake more then once. "Right." Chuckling, his eyes flash to the bartender. "You want another? It's on me." He looks back to her, grinning. "To be fair, I'd have a hard time keeping my eyes off you if you were on screen." He has a hard enough time keeping his eyes off her when she's /not/!

"Exerscise?" He asks, his head arching up a little bit, trying to get a good look at her figure. "I thought you naturally just looked that sexy." Another wink. "I think I have an idea that might make the both of us happy…" His eyes look into hers, a hint of lust and longing.

"So long as it's on you, I'd drink the whole night away," Silver muses, almost longingly. She gives a small nod to the bartender; she'll certainly have another. The redhead is not one to turn down something marked as free.

Those storm-hued eyes return to Koth and lips spread in a broader smile. "My, you flatter. Ahh, if only, but certain parts like to go soft as I get older." Silver pats absently at her abdomen. Eyebrows rise and she lifts her chin, watching him with both a keen eye and a mild bemusement. "Do you, now? And Koth, just what do you think would make me happy?"

"I believe you would." Kieran intones as he motions to the bartender to get him another as well. "I'd ask you not drain my entire bank account, however. Most of it's fine though." He teases, winking at the woman again.

"I only speak the truth, Ceres." He raises a hand, almost swearing. "I strive to be fair and promote honesty whenever is possible." His eyes gleam with excitement. "Well, I don't know about you but I find exorcise a chore. I'm free for the evening suddenly, and I rather enjoy your company. Why don't we have a few more drinks here, then go find somewhere more private to 'exorcise'."

"Ah, surely your bank account can handle a drink or eight." Silver winks at the last; showing she's surely joking. One hopes. The woman crosses one leg over the other; ambient light in the bar catching off her black leggings. Subtle shining bits of thread within the fabric, like as not.

"Well, your version of the truth is appreciated," she offers, laughing lightly. There's a slight raise of eyebrow at the offer and a sudden… tinge of apprehension. Something behind her otherwise alert and bemused gaze. "Truly? Rather than one of the fine ladies or gentlemen of this establishment?"

"Aye, it can handle a few drinks." The Six know he's spent at least a small fortune on this place. His body shifts in a way to face her more, arm leaning on the bar, hand idly feeling the stubble on his face. He studies her for a moment as their drinks come.

"The fine ladies and gentlemen of the Blue Nirvana are top quality." He knows from experience. "I really came in here for Lincoln, though. There's no one here that I want right now… besides you." The last few words he says, almost huskily. His eyes look at her hungrily, but just for a second. "No hard feelings if you decide not to, it was just a suggestion."

The hunger in his gaze causes Silver's eyes to slide off and away. They focus instead on a point just over his shoulder. The woman draws in a slow breath, seeking time. A distraction…

Which arrives in the form of their drinks. She tips her head to the bartender, picking hers up. Silver takes a mmoment to drink slowly, letting the burn of the liquor give her strength. Still, she seems… uncomfortable perhaps. In the way that one becomes when they worry if they've left the stove on. That something… important… is gnawing at her. "Ah, I just… I don't want you to take it as a slight against you."

Sensing the redhead's discomfort, Kieran backs off for now. "It was just an offer." He states, shifting his body back to face the bar, casting a polite smile to her as he lifts his glass for a drink.

"I'll admit, both you and Lyra impressed me. That's partially why I asked." He glances at her over his shoulder. "No hart feelings either way. I'm still open for conversation."

There's a soft exhalation of breath and while Silver looks a bit concerned, there's signs of relief as well. Tension fades from her shoulders and she leans into the bar a bit more. The drink is set upon the bar's surface and turned slowly in her fingers. "I'm sorry," she murmurs.

There's a sidelong glance for the man and the smile she offers is genuine. "I had a great time. I just-" she trails off and shakes her head slightly. "It's for the best."

Kieran offers Silver an equally genuine smile. "No no, it's my fault. I was being rather… forward." He notes, pushing his barstool to that his legs face more towards the woman. "I had a great time too." He smiles. "I'll admit I was looking for an encore, but it seems it's Lyra I need to be seeing for that." He winks at her again.

It dawns on him then that maybe suggesting that would be a bad idea. "Unless, the two of you are dating." He says hurriedly. "In that case I'd make sure to have permission." Last thing he wants is /more/ people upset with him!

"Oh! Oh… no, no," Silver shakes her head, lifting the glass to down more. "We hang out and sometimes we fuck, but that's it." She cants her head to one side slightly, looking thoughtful. "I… I don't know why she doesn't date. I don't because… well, it'd interfere with work." Because one can't date while an actress?

There's a small shrug of shoulders and she draws in a breath, biting into her lip. "I might be-" cutting herself off, Silver empties the drink and closes her eyes as she sets empty glass on bartop. The liquor is allowed to flow downward, slowly. "I might be… able to let her know you'd like to see her… or us… again."

Things are starting to become a little more clear to Kieran, but also much more confusing at the same time. "I'd love to see her -and you- again, she has my jacket!" He chuckles, finishing his drink to stay at pace with Silver.

"Do you two regularly go out to find attractive people to come along for your rides? Or was that a one time deal?" He grins, mostly just curious. He scratches the bottom of his chin with his thumb idly, confused with something she said earlier. "Are actresses not generally allowed to date?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. His bull shit sensor going off.

"She does," Silver muses, remembering. Her lips quirk slightly at the memory. "You'll have to see her again… Even if only to get your jacket back." She lifts a hand, pushing some errant bits of hair away from her features.

"Regularly? No, no… That was.. the first time, actually. I guess you just caught us on a good night?" Silver manages a soft laugh, but it stops at the question. Teeth flash, catching lip, and she turns to look at her tablet. It's something to bring about a measure of focus. "Ah, they are. But I'm… still breaking into the industry. I have other jobs that keep me busy."

Kieran hopes it's not just to get his jacket back! "It's not something I give out to just anyone, it holds… sentimental value to me." He turns to face her again, this time giving her some distance, don't want to scare her off now!

"It was a good night indeed." His lips twitch upwards as brief flashbacks of the night before fill his head. "So you have another job that prevents you from dating?" He raises an eyebrow, his head tilting just slightly. His eyes squint at her, something still isn't clicking with him. "What other jobs do you do?"

"I'll make sure Lyra knows to take extra special care of it," Silver muses, shifting to her feet. She stretches, languidly, arms over her head. The shirt rises, briefly revealing smooth abdomen. When it falls back in place, it's not long before it falls over one shoulder again.

The woman leans in towards Kieran, lifting a hand to his chin. She, if he allows, tips his features upwards slightly so she may bestow a gentle, but brief kiss on his lips. "I'm sorry, but that… that's just going to have to stay my secret." Grabbing up her tablet, the woman seems prepared to step away; to flee. "I'm sorry, Koth… But perhaps tonight it just wasn't in the cards."

Kieran doesn't pass up the opportunity to steal a glance of her abdomen, this time however he's more discrete. "Please see to it that she does. The last time I lent that jacket out to someone… lets just say it took months to get the smell out." His nose crunches together, a brief look of disgust on his face. No doubt caused by residual memories of whatever happened to the jacket.

The man offers no resistance when she places a hand on his chin, eyes close as he's kissed. While enjoyable, the man is now very confused. "As I said, it was just an offer. Maybe another time." The last sentence is said just that, a statement. "I guess we all must have their secrets." He grins at her, standing up now. He can sense she's trying to leave. He offers her a slight bow, "Be safe… Captain." He winks, giving her another genuine smile.

The kiss holds more of a kindness and… sweetness to it than those shared within FUNtasia. It's a gentle thing and even her fingertips when they part are soft against his chin. Silver offers a faint smile, "I'm sure whatever smells may get caught up in your jacket, you'll find yourself enjoying them." Perfume, perhaps?

There's a slight flush to her cheeks at the parting words and the smile Silver offers is something unbidden. Something desperately and brilliantly genuine. "And you, Koth. A Captain can always use trustworthy 'mates." Then, with a slight wiggle of fingers, she disappeared out of the Blue Nirvana and into the masses of The Ring's entertainment district.
