The Walls of Detritus, Inculta
The fifteen-foot stone wall around Detritus has held up well against sandstorms for centuries, but the heavy-duty blasters brought up by the Hostiles have made short work of this section. A twenty-foot-wide section of the wall has been turned to blasted rubble, creating a broken area of ground that extends outward from where the wall shattered and exploded outwards. The chunks of smoking stone range in size from gravel to chest-high boulders, and Hostiles swarm over the new breach.
12 August 2013

The Hostiles have surrounded Detritus for a full day now, bringing up siege blasters to batter down the sandwall and giving the Havenites plenty of time to gather their forces. Now, however, the Hostiles have moved within arrow-shot of the walls, advancing as the blasters are set up and begin their heavy bombardment. The ruby bolts flash through the desert air, slamming into the stone wall time and again. Troops are drawn off the affected section of wall and reinforcements are gathered behind it, sheltering behind a shieldwall. The stone begins to glow red, then white, and then shatters, sending half-molten shards and boulders flying. Thankfully, the Havenites are far enough back to prevent any direct casualties, but the Hostiles now have easy access to the streets of Detritus. Easy access, that is, except for the Company of men-at-arms and knights that push forward to the breach, under the command of Knight Lieutenant Sir Cynan Dalton and a Citizen-born Captain of the men-at-arms.

Ahead of the breach, the Hostiles rush forward, weapons at the ready. A small group crouch here and there amidst the new-made rubble, readying crossbows, but most of the Hostiles leap over and around the ruin, headed for the vulnerable interior of the city and the Light Temples beyond.

Sergeant Rebecca Mordain is here as part of the Cindravale attachment, being of their Rovehn vassal's military. The scout known as the Red Wraith seems to bristle with weaponry, mostly of an archer's sort, but she is lacking her falcon and horse. The woman is perched on the wall, her scout armor closed up tightly and currently showing a camoflauge paint that has the common colors of the desert. She has her crossbow charged up and she takes careful aim at anything coming through the breach. "Red Wraith waiting for orders to fire," she notes into the comm. "The wall is coming down, Sergeant," the voice of her AI, intones. "I can see that, Phantom."

Even with the walls as prepared for assault as they are, it was inevitable that they would be breached sooner or later. Hence, Cynan is at the ready, flanked by as many Dalton men-at-arms and visiting knights as the defense could muster. Fully armored in a suit whose color and texture matches that of the sand beyond the walls, he stands at the front of the company, motionless, eyes fixed on the wall. When it tumbles, he slides the sword off his back and stretches out his right arm, dragging the blade across the ground to draw a literal line in the sand.

"We hold them here," he intones, his voice soft, yet clear enough to be heard by all those assembled.

Ellinor Sauveur is amongst those in the breach, and she has been at the side of the Incultans for the length of the siege. Her armor is dull with sand, though the luminous eyes of her helmet continue to glow like sharp embers. She has been in reserves for several hours now, waiting to be called against the assaulting force. She has left her mighty destrier behind, maintaining on foot. This is certainly an upseting fact for her husband. She casts Nikomachos a glance, her smile hidden and yet heard in her voice. "How are your feet, Sir Nikomachos?" Then she glances toward Cynan and she nods her head firmly at his orders.

One of those who came to lend their aid is Young Lady Sir Asleigh Grantham who brought a detachment of foot solders with her, the men already in position after having been given their orders from her. The fiery-haired warrior then takes her own position, moving closer to the other knights. She's gravely quiet, too focused on what faces them to try and even think of being conversational, her mind working over tactics and numbers as they wait.

Darious is perched up on the wall, his bow noched and ready. His scout armor is also set up for the desert Enviroment conditions as the wall is Soon Breached. Though he acknowledges his readiness with a single pin from his comm's without voicing it. He's crouched down a far as he can to give himself a minimal profile while still being very combat effective. He watchs as the rest of the team he's been assigned too gets into position.

While fighting on foot is not something that Erik prefers, it is a style that he has plenty of experience with. Though the soon to be Ibrahm has something more important coming up later this week, duty is something that the Valen Knight does not shy away from. Kitted out in his armor with the new color scheme of black and red instead of his typical House colors, Erik has been waiting with the detachment of reserves that was positioned to counter the breech. Once this section of protective stone wall shatters, he reaches back and draws his bastard sword, choosing to grip it with both hands for this engagement.

Nikomachos has his flame-washed hard light shield ignited, and he ducks back slightly as the wall finally explodes, shards pattering off the blaze of energy and a fist-sized chunk of rock sending him staggering back half a step. Without destrier and lance, he has kept his sword sheathed, choosing a heavy spear instead. Glancing aside to Ellinor, he shakes his head, "Sore, Ellie." There's a twist of amusement to the words as he steps forward with the men-at-arms to follow the Knight Lieutenant's orders and hold the breach. "We are with you, Sir Cynan." At least his bronze and gold armor glitters and gleams well in the desert sun. "Hot in your new livery, baby brother?"

Present on the wall, bow in hand, Tristan looks out at the approaching forces. Glancing around at the others on the wall, offering them a nod, but he doesn't say anything for the moment.

The Havenites do not have to wait long, for the Hostiles are advancing quickly, except for those that pause and snap off shots at those filling the breach. The masses rush forward, aiming to slam into the relatively-thin Havenite line.

Rebecca fires off a shot at the head of a big Hostile coming through the breach, but the bolt bounces off its helm without damaging it. "Damn," she curses under her breath as she sets the crossbow aside and draws her longbow instead. "Phantom, set quiver for arrows." The AI complies by cycling the quiver on her hip to arrows from bolts. She nocks and draws one with a crimson and orange fletching and holds her breath before loosing.

A piece of debris hits Ashleigh in the arm, the chunk not large enough to harm her but is more than big enough to dent the protective plating some, another ding to add to those it gained in battles previous to today. Frowning, she grunts to herself before moving out of the way, trying to find a better place to stand, wanting to be in the front line without putting herself in danger of being hit by more flying junk. "This is going to be fun," she intones to no one in particular, her voice tinny over the comms. The tinny quality to her words does nothing to mask her impatience. She wants things to hurry up so she can kill some Hostiles.

A noticeable sigh of relief sounds when the archers' attacks start, her words now silent as she mouths a prayer to the Knight, asking for his protection for them all.

There is whooshing sound as the bolt flies past the Drakefire's head, causing the ridges built into her helmet to wave slightly. She looks up sharply toward the wall, calling over her shoulder. "Archers!" Then she starts to move forward to meet the Hostiles that start to break through the breach. Her orange hard light shield is brought to bear, her sword raised to swipe at the first Hostile to cross her path.

Nikomachos advances behind his shield, and a bolt slams into it, halting his steps for a heartbeat. "Hah!" As they reach the breach, Niko brings his right fist across with the spear in it, slamming his gauntlet to his breastplate and triggering the mini holoprojectors installed in the armor. Fiery wings flare wide from his shoulders, and he calls out, "Men and women of Haven! Stand fast!"

And here they come. There's just a few moments left for Cynan before the melee is joined, and he takes that time to flip his blade upward, tip pointing straight at the sky, and hold it aloft. "The Light is with us on this day," he says, a bit louder this time, and while there's the slightest wavering in his voice, it still rings crisp and clear across the battlefield. "Servants of the Light, men and women of Detritus, warriors of Haven, stand ready. Detritus will not fall this day!" The sword comes back down, and Cynan angles the tip toward the throat of the largest incoming Hostile.

Having fired off his first shot, Tristan frowns a bit as he looks around once more. "Okay…" he mutters to himself, before he moves slightly along the wall to get off a better shot this time.

"Not at all, I actually like these colors, they suit me." The younger Cindravale answers the older, a grin forming under his helm until the Hostiles begins squeezing through the gap. The first combat exchange was with ranged projectiles, which doesn't come as a surprise to Erik. The Hostiles that are pouring through the gap is still out of range but there it is, projectiles flying in to the group. Luckily for the Valen, the one that was in his vicinity was just that, only in the vicinity as it misses him completely. Without a shield, the young Valen Knight is not locked with the other knights and soldiers with their defensive armament, instead, he waits for his chance, ready to strike out at any Hostiles that come close.

The Hostile Elite leading the rush takes a pair of arrows to its extremities, but it does not falter, crashing straight into the center of the Havenite line with its fellows half a step behind. Blades and maces rise and fall across the width of the breach, men-at-arms and Hostiles clashing in the narrow space. The Hostiles with ranged weapons skitter forward from shelter to shelter as their weapons recharge for another shot, advancing in the wake of the assault.

Rebecca gets her bow and arrow in order, and she takes aim on the hostile attacking one of the Valen Knights. She looses, aiming for its throat.

Ellinor ducks low as the halberd swishes over her head. She widens her stance, twisting her body around to draw back up to her feet in order to slash the edge of her blade across the helmet of the Hostile soldier. She is advancing rapidly toward her foe, though she does glance toward her husband and brother-in-law to make sure that they are still faring.

Ashleigh's missed, thank the Six, but while she isn't hurt she does no damage to the foe, herself, causing her to grunt in anger over the fact that her blade bounced off of the armor instead of doing damage. Thankfully it's on its feet still despite how several others have struck tremendous blows to it, that getting Ashleigh to move swiftly. Again, she attacks the same enemy unit, swinging for it's body this time.

"Light give me strength," Cynan mutters beneath his breath, dropping the blade into a low guard as the Hostiles approach. Once the bludgeon-wielding adversary comes within a few yards, he charges, bringing the bastard sword up and across his body to slam into his target's chest. It's an ineffective strike, deflected as it is by the enemy's armor, and another Hostile's blade glances off his own armor as he spins away. For a moment he halts to catch his breath, then stands upright again, readying his blade for a second assault.

Darious leads his target and fires an arrow from his bow and is rewarded as his arrow impacts the enemies neck, and while his arrow is in flight he's already grabbing for another to be able to fire again. "Drop you bastard drop…." he mutters into his comms.

Nikomachos grunts under the impact of the Hostile wave, taking a sword on his shield and thrusting out with the point of his spear, only to have it batted aside with a hand to the haft. He shifts slightly to his left, thrusting out with the side of his shield to deflect a thrust aimed at the man-at-arms alongside him, and then recenters his attention on the Hostile ahead of him, "Too bland for me, baby brother. I need a little gleam on my armor."

In the clash as the two groups of melee combatants meet, Erik suddenly finds himself facing off with one of the Hostile soldiers who is wielding a mace. There is no time to think or make intricate plans, instead there is just action and reaction. Watching as the Hostile raises its mace and swings it at his head, the Valen brings his own blade up and meets it, parrying it neough that it glances off of the side of his helm. In return, a vicious counterslash is delivered, cutting deep into the invader's neck, not enough to decapitate it though. One can see that Erik is in his element, fighting Hostiles on the front lines and for now, there is no answer to his brother's word, fully intent on taking down this Hostile.

Frowning as he misses, Tristan grimaces momentarily, before he stands up a bit more, trying to get an even better position now.

The Hostile rush is halted briefly by the Havenite shieldwall, some of them lapping around to try to climb the damaged walls. Havenite archers start to feather them, and Dalton men-at-arms move to the ragged edges of the breach to defend the archers on the walls. In the breach, the Hostiles have little luck, but continue to fight, trying to push their Havenite foes backwards.

Rebecca's arrow flies mostly true, but the Hostile she was aiming at steps out of the way at the last moment. In return, she gets one of those ribbon-arrow things through her right thigh. She grunts, but keeps firing.

There's another miss, this time when Ash gets herself out of the way, the deft motion from the knight not doing anything to hinder her own attack. "You just… do not know… when to lay down and die," she snarls, her words broken up as she either grunts or pauses to breath hard. "Fine. I don't mind working hard for a kill." And once more that great sword of her is swung, this time in an over-head arc, her intention being to cleave the foul thing in half, vertically.

Darious watches in dismay as the same hostile he's peppered a few times is still standing even as his last arrow impacts the chest of the creature. Yet still it comes, as he reaches for another arrow, his curses as a bolt cuts across his hand making him flinch as he looks to see who fired on him and he alteres his aim to the new threat.

Sending off another arrow, Tristan nods as he sees the arrow hitting the target. He sees the incoming projectile, and tries getting out of the way, but doesn't get away soon enough. Thankfully, his armor stops the attack, before he turns to send off an arrow for that one now.

Cynan's next strike at the massive Hostile misses high and wide, but nevertheless the brute appears to be slowing down under the hail of Havenite blows. One can at least hope, right? Again, his armor stops the other Hostile's incoming blade. Again, he sets his feet and charges, swinging his weapon across in an attempt to cleave the Hostile in twain.

With the Hostile that he is fighting growing sluggish due to the wound to its neck, Erik is able to read his opponent's movements rather easily and is able to sidestep the incoming mace. This leaves the invader off-balance and the Valen Knight makes it pay brutally with a horizontal cleave with his bastard sword, smashing through its head armor and into the Hostile itself. Pulling his blade free with an added push kick with his armored boot, this gives the young Cindravale a clear path to the Hostile archers who are peppering the Havenites freely. With a loud warcry, he rushes them, "For Glory! With Speed and Surety!"

Nikomachos fences with the Hostile before him, ducking under a sweep of sword and slapping the blade up with the edge of his hard light shield, then jabs out with his spear, only to have it batted aside in turn. "Godsdamn it. This is a whole lot easier with a lance." The Valen is clearly not used to fighting in a shieldwall, even if cavalry would be flat-out useless in the current fight. "On your left, Ellie." Turning slightly, he guards his flank with his shield, aiming to double-team her target. Erik's cry causes him to echo it, "For Glory!"

Again, Ellinor sidesteps out of the path of the swinging halberd. Sand kicks up around her feet, and she missteps across an unseen rock which causes her sword swipe to go wide, missing the Hostile soldier entirely. She almost falls, but manages to catch herself on one knee before immediately righting herself once more.

The Hostiles finally get a little push, but generally seem somewhat staggered by the ferocity of the Havenite defense. The Elite remains standing in the midst of the battle despite the damage it's taking, sweeping a heavy axe around it in an attempt to defend against its pair of attackers, while still striking out when possible. The crossbow-Hostiles take cover as they wait for their weapons to recharge, hiding behind heavy chunks of wall.

<COMBAT> Hostile30 has been KO'd!

Blood is sliding down Rebecca's leg inside her armor. "Phantom, tighten lateral plates above that wound," she orders her AI. The armor complies, making a sort of tourniquet to keep her going, while shoring up that leg to keep her standing. She nocks and draws another arrow, forcing herself to focus as Phantom marks out her target in red. The one trying to kill Sir Nikomachos. She lets the arrow fly. This time the fletching appears dead center in the Hostile's chest, the trademark colors of House Rovehn.

The hostile goes down thanks to a collective effort. The sight of the felled enemy has Ashleigh yelling, her fury given voice. She's not quite succumbed to battle lust but it's close, her mind locked so firmly on the fight that she doesn't even notice how she was missed for a third time. Living up to her byname of Flame Dancer, now, the armored figure spins, a graceful turn upon the ball of an armored foot, her sword swung for a new target.

One blade comes across, another comes down. When the dust settles, Cynan is left standing before what's left of the massive Hostile, and he dips his head in a little nod. There's no time to waste, though, as he brings his sword up and around just in time to meet another enemy's incoming blade. For just a moment, he locks eyes with the Hostile - or at least, his gaze goes to where the eyes would be on a human - and then lifts his blade in a simple guard, tip angling toward the throat.

Darious fires upon the hostile crossbowmen that fired on him but due to his injury on his hand, The shot goes wide and he curses. "Next time you fiend, you'll die by my arrow." as he reaches back to draw another arrow and noch it as he gets ready to fire upon the same creature (hostile32).

At the words of her husband, Ellinor turns, and she gives him a solid nod before her attention is drawn back to the soldier. The Drakefire Knight lifts her shield to intercept the halberd, but it cuts through her defenses and slices through her armor to draw blood. She cringes backwards a bit, her shield collapsing as she draws both hands together on her bastard sword's hilt. She grimaces as she steps forward,

Growling a little as he misses gain, Tristan once more goes for the same enemy as before. Muttering something under his breath as he sends off the next arrow now.

Nikomachos catches the sword on his shield once more, and then steps forward to gain Ellinor a bit more space to reset her stance. His spear jabs out in the wake of her attack, putting the point of the spear between plates of the Hostile's side. "Right here! Bring it right here, ugly!" And his spear-holding fist slaps into his side, triggering the blaze of fiery wings again as he sinks back into a more defensive stance.

The Hostile that is in critical condition had no real chance of successfully striking Erik who moves out of its reach, leaving the invader in his wake to chase if it could still see him. Instead, the young Valen closes the gap with those ranged abominations, hopping over one large chunk of rock and selecting the largest Hostile of the three. This time, a loud shout of something not understandable is uttered and Erik charges the Hostile Elite, cleaving down with his bastardsword.

With scattered single targets breaking from the ranks, the ranged Hostiles pick and choose, a portion still working to suppress the archers on the walls, while others defend themselves from more immediate attack. In the breach, the Elite finally falls, with a pained hiss and crackle of… noise, or Hostile-speak. A few of its fellows manage hits here and there, but the melee is still confused, and the Hostiles have not managed to push back the Havenite lines yet.

"Good tag, Phantom. Keep locked on him. Wouldn't do to let the Knight that got Sophia fairy wings for her birthday get all chopped up by Hostiles," Rebecca comments to her AI. "Yes Sergeant," Phantom replies, continuing to paint the Hostile threatening Niko with target information. Rebecca aims and fires again, pushing away the pain in her leg. This time the shot is blocked by the armor on the creature's right arm. "Damn."

Ellinor looks over toward Nikomachos as he goads the Hostile into attacking him. If only her smile was evident behind the draconian face of her helmet. She turns sharply on the Hostiles, slashing her blade roughly across the Hostile's back, kicking up more sand as she does. "Ha!" She says to Nikomachos, offering him a nod as she advances on the Hostile once more.

Facing the Hostile who's struck at him several times already, Cynan drops his weight and his weapon, letting the tip of the blade just scrape against the sand. When his foe moves, he moves as well, charging forward, twisting out of the way of an attack and bringing his sword up and across the Hostile's torso. Another blade comes down and the enemy drops to the ground, dead or dying, as the Dalton Knight whirls about to seek his next target. He's silent, now, barely breathing, his whole body turning in one motion.

Ashleigh grins behind her visor, the readout on her armor still green despite the clash of the weapon against her arm. The pleasure is added to when she sees that this Hostile goes down like the first although with a lot less effort on their part than before. "This is fun," she announces with a tone of pleasure. That deepens when one more of the enemy is found and swung for.

Darious is still smarting from the cut on his hand as he fires upon Hostile32 and as the arrow streaks towards his opponet he watchs as the creature is avoiding a blow from another source causing his own strike with his arrow to just barely miss impacting the creature. His eyes focus on the rest of the crossbow men and and he realizes stay on target Darious one kill at a time. So Darious draws another arrow and Noch's it as he sights in on 32 again and gets ready to put him/it down.

There's a brief nod as Tristan sees his arrow getting a good hit, and he moves to get another arrow, once more moving for the same target. Seeing the enemy's attack sailing past him, he mutters something safely hidden behind his helmet. For luck, or something.

Perhaps Erik has chewed off more than he bargained for because as he is charging the Hostiles, the ranged combatants just turn their crossbows on the Havenite knight. Both bolts fly true, one slamming into his upper left shoulder while the other bites into his neck armor. This causes the young Valen to stagger for a stap but he continues on, no retreat.

Nikomachos catches the Hostile with a brief thrust to the hand, nodding at Ellinor's words, "AI, track the archer firing on my attacker." There's a pause as he backs up under the assault of the pair of Hostiles, "Let's go, Drakefire… put the hammer down." A chime sounds in his helmet, and Niko's AI connects him to Rebecca, "Thank you for the assistance," he waits until the AI adds name and rank to his display, and then adds, "Sergeant Mordain. Stay safe up there."

The call to arms made its way through to Khournas quickly enough, and the Wall was never one to leave a breach undefended. He's a bit late getting there, but the huge Knight shows up at the stone wall around Detritus. He arrives at about the center of the gap, Thalo is wearing his black plate, crossed red hammers on his chest. The red eyes of his helmet glow and the helmet growls. He scans the area quickly, looking for an opening in the shield wall to move through. He finds one, roaring out as he hefts his hammer up and moves at the first Hostile he see's, rushing in shoulder first to meet the bastard head on.

Another wave of Hostiles laps up around the breach, having made it through the gauntlet of archers and crossbowmen on the walls. Most of them slam into men-at-arms, tearing some down and rending holes in the shieldwall that was just beginning to push back the first Hostile assault, but the newcomers are met by another wave of Havenite reinforcements. There are now nearly a thousand Hostiles directed at this very breach, but the numbers mean that only a score or so can reach it at any given time. The two Hostiles who fired on Erik drop their weapons on integrated slings, one drawing out a ball and chain and the other a sword to defend themselves.

"Anytime, Sir," Rebecca replies to Nikomachos over the comm. She is surprised at the thanks, and maybe that's what sends her arrow off target. It glances off the Hostile's chest armor. She growls and tries again, nock, draw, loose. Now the thing is attacking their current field leader to boot.

Darious fires again on his target and yet once more the arrow is just barely missing him, The throbbing pain in his hand seems to keep his control from finding his mark. So he shifts his aim on his foe to a more generalized zone in hopes that perhaps that'll improve his chances of scoring a hit.

The Drakefire Knight whiffs it, but at least it is a very aggressive and graceful whiffing. She turns sharply on heel, swinging her bastard sword around to slash at the Hostile soldier. She looks up sharply as the Hostiles remain locked on Nikomachos, and she narrows her eyes as she shuffles forward sharply to stab at her Hostile target once more.

A little behind the time, Johana arrives along with the second wave just in time to get into the thick of things. Wearing her red tinted aggressor armor, her helm in place, AI on and functional, she goes immediately on the attack for a Hostile that seems to have noticed her as well. When she swings her blade, striking the enemy in the head, it manages to get the jump on her and strike her in the chest with a spear. Clutching a gauntlet covered hand over the wound, only briefly, she determinedly goes back in an attempt to strike it down.

A pained growl is issued from Ash, the blow to her hand crushing the armor to it, making the bones beneath the damaged metal crack and possibly even break. This slows down her own attack and changes the angle just enough that the Hostile's armor deflects her blade. Gritting her teeth, she raises her weapon for another swing, trying to ignore how much her hand hurts.

Cynan is face-to-face with a third Hostile, now, and his initial clash with the same is a brief one. The enemy's blade slips past his defenses to punch into the surface of his armor, but it's a glancing blow. Hissing through his teeth, he whirls about, bringing the blade of the bastard sword straight against the Hostile's chest, then staggers back, planting his feet and taking a moment to survey the battlefield. "Hold fast, men of Inculta," he shouts, lifting the blade to point straight at his opponent.

Fighting a one-on-two battle is definitely challenging and Erik is trying to stand up to the challenge as he is put on the defensive. The Hostile wielding the broadsword swings at him and the Valen manages to parry it away, just enough that the blow glances off of his armor without only a scratch. He was rushed because he was bringing his blade down to try to block the ball and chain that is flying at his leg, just enough so that it is a bruising hit. His own blade swings up and catches the Elite on the neck, but the armor plating there is thick enough that it only leaves a dent.

The press and close quarters push Thalo's style of fighting further than he'd like. Normally he fills gaps, takes flanks, maximizes the potential of his huge reach. Here he's pressed in. He slams a shoulder into the hostile's chest, enough to keep its long hafted and bladed weapon from taking his arm off completeled as it comes down, instead it bites into his armor, but not enough to slow the Wall down. Thalo spins and arcs the hammer around his waist, slamming it into the Hostile's abdomen with a crunch, "Keep ranks!" he shouts out, doing what he always in a fight, take charge where necessary.

pose relaxes a little as one of his attackers turns aside, shifting his comm back to general push, "And women of Haven." Laughter touches his lips as he amends the Knight Lieutenant's call, although it fades away as he looks for the black and red armor of his brother, "Erik, where in the blazes are you?" His AI helpfully adds a caret to Niko's HUD, and he blinks, "What in the Chasms of Hell? Ellie, I'm pushing forward to get Erik. You good here?"

Tristan manages to avoid the incoming attacks, before moving to fire another arrow off. "Keep on it…" he mutters, hopefully loud enough for those nearby to hear.

This time Rebecca's arrow flies true, and the red and orange fletching sticks out of the Hostile's neck, making it an easier target for Sir Cynan. "One down, Phantom, paint me another," she tells her AI. It marks one attacking Sir Erik with the Cindravale symbol over his head. She turns to aim that way.

Ashleigh catches sight of Nikomachos going to help Erik and she follows, not bothering to take notice of how they killed yet another and how much her hand hurts, its throbbing hammering in time with the racing pulse of her heart. She tries to move as deftly as she can, winding her way around the fighting as much as possible.

Even occupied as he is with the Hostile in front of him, Cynan has a few spare moments to survey the battlefield. It's not long before he notices the one Valen Knight engaged in combat with several of the enemy, and a second charging forward to assist. "Captain," he mutters into his suit's voice receiver, addressing the commander of the men-at-arms, "I am advancing into the breach. See to it that the line holds." There's no finesse in his next move. He simply /charges/ forward, ignoring the Hostile's blade as it slashes across his armor and bringing his own sword up and across, cleaving the enemy in two. Nor does he so much as glance back to look at his kill… his charge continues forward, toward the enemy's rear guard.

Once more the Hostile attempts to get a jab in with his spear, but Ana manages to avoid the attack. Unfortunately, it brings her too far away for her blade to make contact when she swings it and she ends up missing the Hostile all together, so she draws back her blade and goes with a more aggressive attack.

Darious grins as his arrow finds its mark and he laughs into his helm as he see's that his arrow happens to score a hit on the creature right hand where 32's bolt scored on him not that long ago.. "teaches you don' it to always finish your work.." as he moves to draw another arrow, as he plans to do just that. He looks to see how the rest of the defendors are doing and then over to his cousin who just got tagged, and winces. "Yo Tristan you ok cuz…"

The hammer hit drove the Hostile back a bit, but he didn't take it out the first time. "Spike, track enemy movement, thirty percent bleed. Get me a hostile and friendly readout ASAP!" Once more that hostiles hafted and bladed weapon lashes out catching the armored hand of the Wall. He draws back in time to keep from losing digits over the exchange, but blood seeps through his armor in light trickles. He kicks a foot out at the Hostile and as it moves out of the way he uses his downward momentum to slam that hammer back into the Hostile's stomach again. Another sickening crunch echoes out, "Call out positions if you need assistance!" he barks into the comm.

Letting out a bit of a howl as his hand is hit, Tristan fires off another arrow, without too much success. Clenching his teeth together, he shakes his head at Darious. "Keep firing…" he mutters. Attempting to send off another one now.

Erik continues to battle against the two Hostiles at the rear of the enemy lines, continuing to keep two of the ranged invaders occupied knowing that reinforcements will arrive once the front line is cleared up. He was certainly having a tough time until an arrow flies in from the side and smashes into the Elite's hand, causing it to miss its brutal swing with its ball and chain. This allows the young Valen to parry the spiked ball and follow up with quickly side step that has the second Hostile's sword grazing his armor. His own quick slash in return cuts just into the armor of the Elite and soon, Erik presses the attack.

As the Hostile forces start to thin around her, Ellinor steps toward the soldier she has been trying to send down into the sand. She slams her sword against its armor once more, but it is enough to draw its attention once more. She steps back, readjusting her stance.

Nikomachos breaks free from the shieldwall, holding his spear low at his side as he advances under cover of his own shield. He may not be on horseback at the moment, but he's still leading a charge — or at least following his brother's charge. "Are you kidding me, Erik? You're going to get me killed trying to save your ass." And then he's shoving his way in at his younger brother's right side, helping cover the younger man with his shield.

Even as the Hostile assault reaches a high-water mark and the Havenite knights charge forward, the Dalton men-at-arms hold their ground as ordered, the Captain responding, "Yes Milord." The Hostiles continue fighting tenaciously, however, doing their best to press forward despite their previous failure to break the line.

Rebecca's arrow soars at one of the Hostile's attacking Sir Erik. It flies true again, sticking out of the invader's throat. The creature drops to the ground. "There we go. More even odds, for Sir Erik." She waits for Phantom to paint her a new target, and aims at one of the ranged attackers.

Her blade strikes true, though with a lack of strength behind it Ana does minimal damage to the Hostile she is fighting. On the flipside, she manages to avoid the attack from the spear wielding Hostile, ducking just in time, so she swings her blade again, this time putting more strength behind it.

Finally, the Hostile falls, but it isn't without some ounce of defensiveness from the Sauvuer Knight. Ellinor raises her shield arm, the orange hard light flickering to life just in time to clash with the halberd once more. She shoves the Hostile back, stepping forward with two solid steps to swipe hard at the Hostile, cutting through its defenses and bops her blade against its neck. She steps back as the Hostile falls, immediately turning toward the Hostile engaged with The Wall. She charges forward, preparing to assist. Her shield falls, and both hands come together on her hilt.

A projectile whizzes past Cynan as he heads for the rear of the battlefield, and while it doesn't hurt him in the slightest, it does a fine job of giving him a target. He sets his eyes on the Hostile who fired at him, raises his blade, and charges, feet sinking into the sand.

The AI that keeps Ash updated points out potential targets once she's within range. With several to choose from, it picks the most optimal of those left. Once assured it has the right one picked, Ashleigh hefts her sword and sends it swinging, the blade almost a blur for how fast and how hard she drives it towards its target.

Another shot fired at the enemy, Tristan isn't able to get as good a hit as before, although he once more tries to fire off an arrow. "Come on, strike true…" he mutters to himself as he readies to fire, although his hands are trembling a little more than before.

"Have faith in your younger brother, Niko, and yourself." Erik's answer is slightly ragged, showing that the knight has expended quite a bit of energy fighting against two Hostiles, one of them being one of those larger Elites. Another exchange is made but this time the elite gets the slight edge, another bruising blow landing on his right hand. However, a second arrow flies in and impales the larger invader in the neck, downing it. His AI identifies who is speaking to him and the Valen offers his thanks, "Thank you Sergeant, that was much appreciated." With that, Erik now searches for the next target, adrenaline pushing him forward despite his wounds.

That hostile isn't looking good, but these things fight till the end. It lashes out at Thalo again, forcing him to dodge back. The blade of its weapon screams against the metal of his armor in a shrieking cry. Still, the attack is stopped, but it is enough to put the Wall of balance and his attack goes wide. "Damn you to hell!" He resettles his balance and starts to move around the hostile.

Darious fires on 32 again but this time his arrow glancs of the leg armor of his opponet, much to the dissatisfaction of Darious, "Dont worry I'll get you next…. " as he watchs an arrow peirce the creatures neck as it falls over. " Time…."

Nikomachos raises his spear over-head as he approaches, thrusting over-hand at the Hostile — only to have the spearpoint skitter off armor. The Hostile's riposte comes in under his right arm, cutting between a pair of plates and drawing blood. Niko hisses softly, shaking his head, "I'd have a little more faith if I was riding Erinye. And a little more speed, too."

The Hostiles are faltering now, as Havenite reinforcements push forward, filling the breach and driving forward to secure the nearby area. Large hard-light shield generators are being brought forward, powering up slowly.

This time Rebecca misses her shot and she grunts, shifting her position slightly to take the weight off her injured leg. "Come on Phantom, we can do better than that," she mutters to her AI. She takes her aim again and fires this time at the Hostile attacking Sir Cynan.

The dull metallic thud of the bolt impacting upon her armor gets Ashleigh to blink a bit, that an attack she did not expect despite it coming from the very same Hostile she attacked. Missing, she grits her teeth and moves, trying to keep their foes off of those more injured than herself.

Ana draws her sword back and swings it towards the chest of the Hostile, grazing another too light wound across its chest. Her mistake was failing to pull back immediately and she catches the spear through her gauntlet, taking a hit to her left hand at the same time. With a growl, she storms in, determined to take the Hostile completely out so that she doesn't get hurt any worse before her wedding in less than a weeks time.

Darious shifts target as he spots 26 still fighint another knight and lauches an arrow into him lightly Grazing the creatures neck and spilling just a fraction of blood. "Well a hits a hit I guess. " comments Darious as he moves to draw another arrow and realizes his stock is getting low. Thank god they have more than one quiver on them.

This Hostile appears to not be giving up. Once more it lashes out with that spear and once more the blade screams as it snakes across the overlapping plates of armor that cover his abdomen. Thalo grunts and looks to Ellinor as she arrives to help him. As her attack goes for the chest, he brings his hammer down in an overhead strike and slams it down on the hostiles head. Another crunch comes from the creature, and yet it still moves. "WHY WON'T YOU FUCKING DIE!" And then he shouts to Ellinor, "Everyone else ok?"

Ellinor bobs her chin up to Thalo as she closes the gap on the massive Hostile. She then adjusts her poise, easily balancing her weight as she takes a large swipe of her sword against the Hostile's back. She glances toward the fight ensuing with the other Havenites.

This time, Erik is on the advantageous end of a two-on-one as he teams up with his older brother to take down the invader. While Nikomachos strikes at the chest, the younger Valen slahes out at the back though his strike only puts a gouge in the armor plating instead of cutting deeper. The soon to be Ibrahm presses the attack though, throwing out a relentless offense.

And so Cynan charges, and he brings his blade up and around, slicing into the Hostile's arm. It's successful, in that the target is wounded, but the weight of the blade throws him off balance as he whirls about, and the Hostile brings its weapon up, down and straight into the back of his neck. It's a /crushing/ blow, the sort that's probably cracked a few vertebrae, and he goes down like a pile of bricks, crumpling to the ground. Armored fingers lose their grasp on the bastard sword for a few moments.

"Light give me strength," he half-hisses, half-pleads as his body sinks into the sand. For a brief eternity, he's motionless, and then his off-hand presses into the ground, his other picks up his blade and he's back on his feet, staggering, but still conscious, holding the sword in a simple guard. Slowly, silently, he approaches the Hostile again.

Nikomachos's spear is knocked aside once by a strike to the inside of his right list, and he steps back, flipping his weapon over to hold it underhand again. A darting thrust strikes home at the Hostile's chest, punching through to stab between two of its ribs. When Cynan is knocked down, Niko steps forward again, murmuring into his helmet, "AI, Wings." And once more, the fiery pinions stretch forth from his shoulders, and he is raising his shield to interpose himself between the Dalton's attacker and the Dalton himself. "Sir Cynan is hurt," he pauses, watching the other man rise, "But still fighting."

"Thick-headed idiot…" Tristan mutters, as he moves a bit to the side now. Shaking his head a little bit to himself, he reaches for his next arrow, firing it at the same enemy as before.

Step by bloody step, the Hostiles continue to be driven back out of the breach, only a few now standing between the crumbled ends of the walls. Men and women are starting to pull wounded and dead men-at-arms out of the fight, but even they have a dangerous job, as bolts and launcher-ribbons still fly to and fro through the air of the breach.

This arrow flies true, and Rebecca drops another Hostile with a shot through the neck. Another arrow is drawn, nocked, and aimed, this time at the Hostile attacking Sir Nikomachos. "Phantom, adjust for wind velocity," she barks to her AI, before she looses the arrow.

With a dull thud the Hostile hits the ground, much to Ash's delight. "I think we're turning the tides," she comments casually to those close by. The jovial moment ends as quickly as it's made with and she swings once more, her arms tired and her hand feeling like it's made of fire now.

"Wouldn't let… a minor wound… stop me, Sir Nikomachos." It seems that Cynan's injury has affected his windpipe, as his speech has dropped to a slow whisper. For certain, it's affected his grip on his weapon, as his attack misses the Hostile wide. Fortunately, his target is dropped by an arrow moments later. Still low to the ground, but holding the bastard sword just a bit steadier, he turns to face the sole remaining nearby Hostile and bring his weapon to bear.

Darious continues to fire and this time his arrow succeds in penatrating the creatures (hostile26) armor and into his chest but doing little else to slow the beast down. Darious looks to see how the other are fairing and smiles as he spots at least three more enemy forces are taken out. "well at least they are being thined out."

The hostiles spear lurches out towards Thalo, but the Hostile is wounded enough where the attack is dodged. Thalo steps to the right, spins around, bringing his hammer into the Hostile's gut with all his momentum. It slams into the Hostile, doubling it over from the continued damage done to its insides. It leaves its neck open as a pleasant prize. Thalo turns from the Hostile before it is even felled and moves towards Johana, slinging his hammer at the hostile she is dealing with.

Letting out a breath as he sees his target go down, Tristan glances around for a few moments, gaze falling on the others present, before he brings out another arrow, taking a few moments to aim for one of the remaining Hostiles.

Once more, Ana avoids the spear of the angry and injured Hostile, slicing her blade across the chest of the enemy. Lifting her blade, she intends to do it again and again until she can down it. Only then does she notice Thalo joining and the relief is great. "Thank you, Thalo." Unable to exactly locate the one with the arrows yet to thank him as well, she does see the Ibrahm sworn Knight.

Nikomachos puts his spear into… more armor. And he takes both an axe to the throat — luckily cushioned and blunted by his armor's gorget — and a sword to the side of his neck — where his armor only slows the blow. Staggering slightly to one side, he grits his teeth as he raises his shield further, "Careful with neck wounds, Sir Cynan. I've some experience with them." There's a beat pause, and then he adds, "Besides just now. I think we've pushed them back, Sir Cynan."

Ellinor finishes off the Hostile as it collapses, swinging her bastard sword down in a sharp arc to remove the Hostile head from shoulders. It reveals a cybernetic spine imbedded in soft tissue, red blood spilling across the sand. She looks up sharply toward the other chaos ahead, and she nods her head. "Wall." Then she heads toward the last of the Hostiles who face off against those in the breach.

The Hostiles are thinning in their section, Erik can tell after a quick glance, seeing that on all fronts the invaders are being pushed back. Returning his focus on the Hostile that is still in front of them, fighting what seems to be a defensive retreating action, the young Valen continues to hammer down blows, aimed at the head and neck area.

The remaining Hostiles do their best to hold the line, but they are dying quickly, and the first hard light shield generators come online, forming a corridor around the Havenite forces to prevent them from being overwhelmed by the masses of Hostiles so that they can withdraw back into the breach — if they choose to do so.

This Hostile seems intent on dodging her arrows, and Rebecca grinds her teeth in frustration. "Come on you ugly mother f-…"it falls down when Erik hits it. She blinks a few times, before she lowers her bow. The gap no longer has Hostiles swarming through it. "Red Wraith reporting in. Minorly wounded but mobile."

"Surely I will… once Detritus is safe." Cynan attempts to grin under his helmet, though it's more of a grimace as he swings at the sole remaining Hostile. His is one of many blades moving in its direction, and it doesn't strike true… but no matter, the enemy falls in due time. Once it's down, he thrusts his blade into the sand such that it stands upright, then turns, still a bit shaky, to survey the battlefield.

Darious fires on the same target as before (hostile26) but miss's the thing as he stiffles a curse as he goes get his last arrow just as he watches it fall, and blinks. "That was good.. " as he looks to see if there are any others to shoot at but cant seem to find any more targets. So he slips his remaining arrow back into the quiver and lets out a held breath of relief.

Nikomachos matches his brother high and low, slamming a spear into the Hostile's gut as the bastard sword strikes higher and Cynan's blow hits high too. The Hostile falls, and Niko looks around as well, seeing the hard light walls going up around them, and then looking back to Cynan, "Should we fall back through the breach, Sir Cynan?" His helmet lifts toward the Hostiles massing a few hundred yards away and moving toward the gap, "Or do we take on all of them?" As Ellinor approaches the group, Nikomachos turns his head to look from her to Erik, nodding his head slowly and frowning at the sight of the punctures in his brother's armor.

Ashleigh turns slowly, taking in their surroundings. The command to pull her gauntlets back into the housing within her armor is made but it takes much longer for the left to retract thanks to how the metal is damaged and how her swollen hand presses against the mechanisms used to draw the metal up and away. Once the hand is exposed the damage can be seen, some, the flesh mottled purple and red and swollen from wrist down. Probably one of the lesser injuries they have had inflicted upon them.

After moving in on the Hostile, Thalo takes a heartbeat to move in at a flanking angle from Ana. He's fought with her enough to know her strengths and weaknesses in situations like these. The hammer comes down, slamming into the hostiles chest with chest cavity crushing force. He brings the hammer away quickly to allow Ana in for her attack.

The Drakefire Knight slides to a stop as the last of the breach-infiltrating Hostiles fall. She turns her head around sharply as if to scan for other possible targets, but then she sees nothing but Havenites and fallen bodies — in this immediate area at least. She keeps her sword to bear, but her stance becomes more defensive than aggressive. She looks over toward Cynan as Nikomachos makes the request.

Letting out a bit of a grimace, Tristan leans forward a bit as he sees the lack of other targets. Taking a few deep breaths now, as he lowers his bow, shaking his head a little bit. "All done…" he mutters, mostly to himself now.

This time, Erik's blade is able to cut through the plate armor of the wounded Hostile, right at the same time his brother, Niko, pierces the invader's gut with his spear. "Well struck, brother." Looking in the direction where the Hostiles are falling back towards, a grin appears under the younger Valen's helm, the helmet turning to the older brother. "You know what my decision would be, Niko, but I don't think you'd follow this time." His armor certainly sports a bit of damage, with two blows cutting through, but Erik is still on his feet, adrenaline still coursing through him.

"Mmmm." Cynan turns about, slowly, to follow Sir Nikomachos' eys back to the massed Hostiles. He attempts to give a nod, finds it rather difficult to do so, and then waves his left hand aside. "Let us stay close to the walls. Damaged though they are, we are far better protected there than we would be fighting out in the desert. Slowly he reaches down to retrieve his weapon, and a nearby man-at-arms hurries over to help the Knight Lieutenant get it back onto his back. No doubt the Dalton will be feeling that injury for weeks to come. "Back to the breach," he mutters, and the nearby soldier repeats the order loud enough for all the surrounding Havenites to hear. Slowly, as much staggering and walking, he heads for the relative safety of Detritus.

As soon as Thalo swings his hammer, Ana swings right behind him, watching as the Hostile crumples into a heap on the ground. Bringing back her sword, she looks for the next one only to realize there is no more. Straightening from her fighting stance, she breathes a sigh of relief and opens her visor, looking at Thalo with blue eyes, one graced with purple beneath it. Ana gives him a smile as she removes her left gauntlet to check her wound there. "Thanks Thalo, for having my back."

Rebecca slides her bow into the harness for it on her back, and picks her crossbow up off the ground beside her. She reloads it, just in case, and begins limping down off the wall to rejoin the others.

Ashleigh falls into step behind Cynan, Erik and the others when they turn to return to the breach, her sword awkwardly sheathed, a task normally easily done in a matter of seconds made almost impossible due to only having the use of one hand. She's quiet, too absorbed in thought and in entirely too much pain herself to feel like bantering.

Nikomachos nods in response to Cynan's words, keeping his shielded left side toward the approaching Hostiles as they start to enter bowshot and bolts begin to fly. He looks over to Erik again, snorting softly as he starts to step backwards, "I'd follow you, baby brother, but only to smack you upside the head and drag you back. You've a wedding shortly, and I mean to see you there in one piece." A faint smile touches his lips as he looks back to Ellinor, and then he's moving back more quickly, "Ranks! Form a shieldwall again to guard the retreat." He may not have the authority to give the order, but at least it's just facilitating the orders of the man in command here.

Ellinor steps up to stand beside her husband as she keeps her sword out and ready. She nods quickly to Cynan and then to Nikomachos's orders. She smirks toward Erik. "The Khourni like them bruised," she teases before she gives Nikomachos a nudge of her shoulder before she steps after the others to guard the retreat.

"Eh, can't expect those poncey Valens to have it, now can you?" The Wall replies with a rough laugh. His face is still covered by his helmet, so it's hard to tell if he's smirking or not. It's a brief reprieve though as the press of battle is still arond them. Thalo moves towards the front of the line holding the position to help hold the shield wall.

Tristan takes a few moments more to gather himself, before he moves down from the wall to join the others now. Keeping quiet, as he looks to his hand with quite a bit of a grimace, starting to feel more of the pain now that the adrenaline leves his body.

Rebecca stays near the breach to cover the retreating Knights, her helmet up and covering her face, hiding her pained grimace. It's not bad though, she'll be fine with some minor medical attention.

Darious joins up with the others and spots Tristan and his wound then his own and seems to be laughing a bit under his helmet but its hard to tell. His own hand throbbing in pain but its nothting a bit of help and time wont fix.

Nikomachos starts the slow retreat along with Cynan, Erik, Ellinor, Ashleigh… and once the lines have fallen back to the breech, Thalo, Johana, and others. He rocks under the nudge of Ellinor, shaking his head and snorting. "Good thing you're half Khourni then, Ellie." He raises his spear, waving the point back and forth, then gestures it backward, and the shieldwall continues to retreat. As they do, the hard light shields begin to slowly wheel inwards, closing in front of the retreating Havenites to temporarily seal the breach.

Once the official orders to retreat back through the breech and behind the safety of the walls, Erik complies without hesitation. There is no foolishness of pressing further to try to cut down more Hostiles and it is then that he sees the Ibrahm Heir. His helm remains on, just in case there is a stray ribbon or bolt that flies through the air, as it is still a battlefield but he is moving in her direction.

Once the Knights are back safely behind the hard light barriers, Rebecca retracts her helmet and leans against anything nearby to take pressure off her wounded leg. There is a Hostile crossbow bolt sticking out of it.

Finally removing his own helmet, Tristan looks around for something to use on the hand that was hit by the bolt now. Shaking his head a little bit, while keeping his teeth clenched together now.

Once everyone has made it through, Thalo takes up rear guard. In fact, he won't go until everyone has moved through the line. Those left behind to defend the breach are given a nod and advice to "Stay strong" and then he's off, following the others towards the rally point.

Ellinor is still on the move with the others as they depart the breach and return to the city. She is walking find, though her left gauntlet is wet with blood. She does not put her sword away until they are past the line, safely amongst Havenites. She starts to take off her helmet, tossing her sweaty red hair loose from the cavity. She starts to look around, calling out. "Medics! New injured incoming!"

Once back in camp Ashleigh seeks out one of the medics, her left hand cradled gently in the nook of her right hand. It's swollen from the wrist down to her finger tips and the skin shows signs of bruising.

Returning to the main area, Erik has been directed to where the wounded are being being tended to by the healers. There are quite a number of wounded and the Valen joins the number, being assigned one of the medical cots to sit on. A page of one of the Havenite Houses, volunteering his time, is already working on removing the Cindravale Knight's armor.

Reena came as soon as she heard the wall had been breached. She is in simple Protector Armor with the helm retracted, with the red cross on a white band on her upper arm declaring her a medic. "Magma, give me a heads up on Khourni knights and military members." Her HUD brings up dots in various places, with Johana and Thalo indicated. She heads for the Ibrahm heir. "Ana!" she calls.

As Elodie hears Ellinor's call, she turns her steps, carrying her med kit, to make her way towards the incoming injured. With a couple of other medics, she starts assessing the wounded, assigning them to the different patients, until she comes upon Erik being divested of his armor. "Sir Erik," she greets, now that she has settled others to be helped, she stops and sets down her kit, pulling out a scanner. "Where have you been hit?"

Hearing her name called, Ana turns back and when she sees Reena, she wears a big smile, despite that funky looking black eye and the not so bad wounds. "Hey, Reena." Walking towards her, she favors her left hand, the gauntlet already removed. "Still going to be my bridesmaid, right?"

Momoko is totally here to be a doctor, which she is completely licensed for in a slightly indirect way. After all, High command thinks Cybernetic Technician sounds like a doctor, so here she is. She looks the spitting image of a doctor and she's ready to assist in her white lab coat. Doctoring aside, her particular tent is set up a little differnetly as she's also tending to cybernetics in the field, but that doesn't mean she can't patch you up. Chewing on some kind of candy and watching the battle end she pulls it out, tossing it into the garbage, "Time for the wounded." Tristan stumbles by the medical room and she frowns going over to assist, "Hey you, kid, you got a bolt through the hand eh? Ceom on, get in here. I'll get that out and patch you up. You okay? Look unsteady. Blood loss or something?"

Recognizing Elodie as his older brother's betrothed, the young Valen rises to his feet after his torso pieces are removed to bow his head in greeting. "Lady Elodie, where? Well, minor scratches on my leg and hand. Took a bolt to the neck and chest, doesn't seem too bad though." Perfect analysis by someone who is a warrior, not a healer.

Once the Hard Light sections have closed off the breach, Nikomachos shuts down his own shield, letting out a breath. Spotting Elodie approaching, he gestures toward Erik, grinning inside his helmet. He turns to face the armsmen, comming, "Well done, Soldiers of Inculta. You've done your moon proud." Blood stains the armor of his right side and the left side of his neck, but he moves easily enough as he turns over to Thalo, "My apologies, Knight Lieutenant. I didn't see that you were on the field, and Sir Cynan was wounded." Ellinor is still standing and not complaining, so he's pretty certain that she's not too badly hurt.

There is no effort to take a bed or even sit down for that matter, Ashleigh not so hurt that she needs to take up more space than is absolutely needed. The armor's taken off and left in a heap somwhere out of the way, leaving her in the thin skinsuit once she does. Ashleigh looks a lot more comfortable for doing so.

"I've seen the bridesmaids dresses. You'd better believe I'm in your wedding," Reena quips to Johana with a grin. "If that dress doesn't put Kadmus' jaw on the floor, nothing will." She makes the Ibrahm sit down so she can tend to her hand injury first. "Need to get this cleaned out and closed up, and then iced 20 minutes every hour. It'd be a shame if your finger was too swollen for your wedding ring," she chides.

Darious removes his helmet as he runs his fingers of his left hand thru his hair "well that was .. interesting to say the least. " a hs he looks to those being treated and hearing of a wedding. he looks to see tristan and aks "Hows the hand cuz…"

Huh? Was that someone talking to him? A brief pause, before Tristan turns to look towards Momoko, offering a brief smile, before looking down to his hand. "I don't know how much blood. Didn't pay too much attention to it until there was a stop in the fighting…" A brief sigh. "Hurts, though."

Momoko nods, "Right, well, we'll put you down for anemia no doubt. So come on over here to my area and let's get you healed up." Dragging is really the word for this as she doesn't give him terribly much choice, "Also, I like to be honest with my patients." Turning to him with the biggest smile you've ever seen she goes, "This is going to hurt more than a crossbow bolt to the testicle. I'll give you some pain reliever before I remove the bolt."

Ana has an easy smile at the mention of the dresses. "I love them and I think you're going to look fabulous. He's sure to love it." After being seated, she leaves her hand free for the fixing, but gives a worried look to her left ring finger. "That.. would be devastating. I'm hoping the swelling of my eye has gone down. You'll help me with my makeup right?" Giving her a hopeful look. "I'm so worried about getting everything finished in time.. flowers, cake, table decorations. I'm excited too though."

Elodie gives a smile and a shake of her head as Erik stands up and she waves him back down. "Sit down, Sir Erik," she glances over to the eldest of the brothers. "Sir Niko," she greets. "You're looking well," her tone is wry as she eyes the blood. "Try not to pass out before I have a chance to look at you, yes?" She looks again to Erik's scan. "I've seen worse," she tells him. "You're not too bad, but let's just get some things back the way they belong, and then you'll be free. No hospital for you."

Aaryn notices the slightly wounded man and approaches him. "Might I assist you?" Offering her services to Darious. Reaching for his right hand she smiles warmly. "I can get you patched right up."

"Don't you have people for that, Ana?" Reena asks, regarding the wedding prep. She cleans and closes the wound with a few butterfly bandages, and wraps it with clean gauze. "And of course I'll do your makeup. Now let's get that breastplate off and see how bad you got skewered."

Darious blinks as he looks to arryn and.. "huh…" as he has totally forgotten about his own injury and blush's just a bit .. "ahh sure.. thanks. as he holds out his hand for the healer to examine and then begin treating. "sorry just got overly excited and spaced I got hit.. " he chuckles softly.

When Elodie mentions that there will be no need for him to stay at the hospital, Erik appears to relax and become even more compliant to whatever the healer wishes to do. "Right, just some scratches and cuts." He is back sitting on the medical cot, "I'm glad I didn't take a blow to the head though…" If it was bad enough, then it would not look good for the wedding and he wants to look as best as he can for that special event.

"Wait…" Tristan says as he's dragged "Have you ever had a crossbow bolt to the testicle?" A brief pause, before he looks to Darious. "It's still there, at least."

Ana removes the breastplate very gingerly, placing it aside. "I do, but I want it to have a personal touch, so I've got a hand in everything. No way would I chance an ice sculpture on the Crescent." Remaining as still as she can while being worked on, she debates.. "But I think I've settled on white orchids for the bouquets."

"Wait…" Tristan says as he's dragged "Have you ever had a crossbow bolt to the testicle?" A brief pause, before he looks to Darious. "It's still there, at least." Going quiet again now.

Nikomachos speaks briefly with Thalo, then makes his way back toward where the Es are gathering. He shakes his head at Elodie's words, "They hurt, but only when I move, Lady Elodie." A touch of laughter rises behind the words, but he shakes his head, "I'll be fine, but see to the bridegroom and my own bride first, if you please."

"Oh lovely. I have lots of them in my personal garden if you want to come see some up close," Reena murmurs to Ana, trying to keep her distracted as she cleans the hole the Hostile spear made in the Ibrahm's chest. "I haven't even looked at bridesmaids dresses yet." She injects a hypo of local anesthetic into the area so she can close up the wound without causing too much pain.

Ashleigh's very protective of her injury despite it not being that bad which is a good thing as the medical personnel are so busy trying to get to where they're needed that they bump into her a few times. Each jarring jostle gets her to grit her teeth to stifle a whimper… or a swear word… or a growl, that done to try and at least give the impression of being a good patient.

When Darious finally agrees, Aaryn gently takes his hand and looks it over, reaching into her bag, she draws out the antiseptic, cleansing his wound. "It happens. I can get you patched right up and you'll be good to go." Once it's washed, she places an antibiotic ointment and a few butterfly bandages over it before reaching for the gauze to wrap it.

"Ow.." Distracted Ana may be but the wound in her chest hurts.. She knows better than to look down and poke or prod at it, leaving that to Reena. "That would be great! It was hard to decide between the white orchids and calla lilies. I'm still not a hundred percent." A frown mars her brow at the sting, but she says nothing more about that. "Finding dresses is so fun. I found too many choices, but I loved the whole blingy silver look. So silver and white are the colors. Debating on the cake though, wondering if I should go with House colors."

Darious watches with a bit of facination at the skill Aaryn posess's and nods as he watches, only briefly distracted by Tristans comment, which brings alight chuckle to his lips. "you do good work miss. " as he watches you wrap his hand. "thank you most kindly. "

"Well, you are the heir of Ibrahm, so House colors would probably be a great idea. I'll have to look at one in Volen colors for my wedding I suppose." Reena smiles. She packs the wound and puts a pressure bandage on it. "I hate to say this, Ana, but I will need to get you into a real facility to make sure that wound is properly closed. And you're going to need some blood. Come on, let's get you off the field and somewhere cleaner."

Elodie grins back to Niko as she reaches into her kit. "Then stop moving, Sir Niko," she suggests and nods to the cot next to where Erik is sitting. Her grin turns to a smile as she looks back to Erik. "Do not worry, Sir Erik. You are going to look just fine on your wedding day. Now hold still…" and she puts a knee on the bed next to Erik for leverage as she wraps her arms around his shoulders and lower neck. There is a crunching sound that probably sounds worse than it is as she uses good old-fashioned manipulation to put his shoulder back into place.

"Thank you, Sir." Aaryn continues wrapping the wounded hand, securing it once she has done so. "There you go, all better. Just be careful and don't get the bandage wet. I'm Aaryn Reilly by the way, a doctor, and if you need assistance in healing again, just let me know."

Momoko just laughs at Tristan, "I have what you men like to call a happy hole. So no, but the difference between that and now is that we wouldn't be removing a crossbow bolt through your testicle now would we? You just wouldn't have a testicle anymore. Can't hurt you if it doesn't exist anymore!" Still with that smile, leading him over to the table, "Okay get up here, let's get that puppy out of your hand."

Darious smiles and bows "Thank you Aaryn, Im Darious Arboren." he looks over to tristan and grins. "that is my cousin over ther being treated .. Tristan." as he doesn't know if you've met him or not before.

Nikomachos shakes his head at Elodie's response, "Sadly, I can't do that yet, Lady Elodie." He reaches up to start unbuckling his pauldrons, hissing in pain as the movement tugs at the right side of his ribcage. "So Ellie. How bad's your arm? Think you can help me with my armor so Sammy's intended can put some nasty-smelling stuff on it that makes it feel better?" Not that medicine has to smell bad anymore, but it's still good for complaining about. He winces at the knee-bracing crunching of his other brother's shoulder, "On second thought, maybe I'll let someone else bandage me up. Ouch…"

"Makes sense," Tristan mutters, before he moves to the table. Looking around for a few moments, before he places himself on the table now. "Painful, you said?"

"I think you're right. I just don't want it to look gaudy, but I do want elegance." Ana says softly. When Reena mentions a facility, she smiles, standing and grabbing her armor. "Let's go then." Looking around for Erik, she waves. "Call me!" Though she leaves with Reena.

Reena escorts Johana off the field.

Elodie raises an eyebrow at Nikomachos. "The great Phoenician is scared of a little popping noise?" she enquires, before she starts cleaning the visible scrapes on Erik since his armor has been removed. Her movements are deft and quick now that the worst has been seen to, and she applies some new skin over the scratches that's been treated with an antibacterial solution.

"A pleasure meeting you, Darious Arboren." Glancing over at his cousin and offering a nod. Standing, she offers a bow of her head. "Get well, and if you wish, I can do a check up in a few days."

"Is but a flesh wound," Ellinor says to Nikomachos as she finally snaps out of her thoughtful reverie. She steps toward him as he starts to ease out of his armor, and she rolls her shoulders a bit beneath her own pauldrons. She frowns a bit as she looks over toward him. "You departed my side, I wasn't sure if you got injured. Everything in one piece?"

Nikomachos shakes his head at Elodie, "I've had that done to me, Lady Elodie. After a lance hit from… Sir Sarrah Leonnida, I believe it was. I know how much it hurts." He looses one pauldron, then the other, setting them aside to reveal the dark blue of his underarmor, responding to Ellinor, "A couple of flesh wounds. You'll have to wait another battle for me to pick up more scars, Ellie. Erik here decided to go running off to catch himself some crossbowmen." He pauses, frowning thoughtfully behind his helmet, "Crossbow-Hostiles?"

"Well, if it was done right, the pain should have been fleeting… unless you had done something to tick off the doctor." Elodie's tone may just imply that such a thing is not altogether impossible. "Sir Ellinor, you're looking better than your husband," she observes. "As usual." She turns back as she finishes with Erik, giving him one more scan to make sure she hasn't missed anything. She sets a dose in her hypo to numb the shoulder, and an antibiotic just to make sure none of the wounds fester.

Ellinor flashes a grin up toward Elodie. "Thank you, Lady Elodie." Then she glances toward Nikomachos with a bit of a grin. "You're lucky that I think you look good in scars." Then she shakes her head a bit, lifting her hand to brush her fingers through her hair.

Nikomachos shrugs at Elodie's comment, "He may have mentioned something about betting heavily on Sir Sarrah." The commentary on looks causes him to laugh, "You've hit upon the reason that my armor is so bright, Lady Elodie, I have to distract from my face." Setting aside his pauldrons, he pulls free his helmet with a little grimace, a touch more blood trickling from the cut to the left side of his neck as he sets the horse-crested helm aside, reaching for the clasps of his breastplate, although Ellinor's words cause him to reach up to the scar running up the back of his neck and into his short-cropped hair, "I am, at that. And you're lucky that I'm willing to put up with a wife who can kick my ass when there are no horses involved."

Elodie nods as she finishes with Erik, and motions to Niko. "Well, now that your armor is no longer distracting us, let's get you cleaned up so you're at least halfway presentable. If you're a good boy about it, I'll use the odorless disinfectant. So that was your trick, Sir Ellinor?" she asks. "You beat him into submission?" Her smile and light tone of voice indicate an almost total lack of seriousness on her guess, as she scans Niko just to be sure that the bleeding is only on the surface of the Cindravale's head.

Ellinor laughs. "No, no… he just likes singing that song." She smirks toward Nikomachos before she starts to ease out of her own armor, loosening the plates of drake-stylized armor until she is down to her underarmor. She settles down onto a seat somewhere close to her husband and his medic. She smiles up toward Elodie. "He actually is commenting on my battlefield ability compared to his own. I can't beat him when a horse is involved, but I do well on the ground."

Nikomachos reaches up for the clasps of his breastplate as well, opening it and setting it aside before he turns to allow Elodie to check out his neck wound and the matching wound down by the knot of scar-tissue at the lower-ride side of his rib-cage. "She beat me once Lady Elodie. Early on. It was impressive." He shifts and turns as necessary to let Elodie at both wounds, "I should talk to Sir Ana about taking away Erik's privileges when he does something stupidly bold next time."

Momoko nods, "Yeah, well, It ain't exactly removing a splinter and it went all the way through the bone you know. Luckily there ain't that much there, but, it still went through it. So no matter how this goes, I have to hurt you." She moves over to get some pain relievers and nods, giving him the shot. "So, let's start with this." Grabbing a cutting tool she starts to cut through the top of the bolt. "Yeah this part will hurt no matter how much pain meds I kick into your system. But its gotta be cut, otherwise I'm gonna do more damage."

Tristan nods a little as he hears that, pausing for a few moments. "What's your name?" he finally asks, before he nods at the part about the hurt, and looks the other way now, so he won't have to watch the work being done. And grabbing hold of something with the other hand.

Elodie nods as she works, her eyes for the moment on her work as she cleans and dresses the male knight's wounds. "Only superficial wounds this time. You won't have to try sneaking out of the hospital early this time" she informs him as she works. "You don't need Sir Niko to sing your praises, Sir Ellinor. Your skill speaks all on its own." She glances down to pull out another gauze pad to apply pressure on a more persistent bleed. "But, it is always encouraging to hear our mate's pride in our skills." For some reason, this latest musing seems to bring a bit of pink to her cheeks. "

Momoko finishes the sawing and what not, sighing slightly, "Okay…well, on three. One," and yank, she pulls the bolt free of the hand from the bottom and quickly covers up the bleeding with bandages to stop blood from flowing out. "Okay, well. This wound in your hand. It's not going to heal anytime soon, but well, you don't need help thankfully. So you're not in cybernetic territory yet. Lucky you, you don't have to see me after this." Then a smile, "Don't flirt with your medical staff. Momoko Ichihoshi, Orelle Medical Corps."

Ellinor arches up a brow at Elodie with a bit of a smile. "Thank you, Lady Elodie." Then she shakes her head a bit before she flashes her husband a smile. "He does tend to try to sneak away. I blame his Cindravale blood. Impatient bastards." She then shakes her head a bit before she starts to rise to her feet, brushing her fingers through her hair. "Alright, I should get us up to the Dome. Elodie, is he free to come along, or do you want to keep him here and torture him more?"

There's a cry of pain as Momoko works on his hand, before Tristan nods slowly. "So, it will heal?" Another brief pause, before he adds, "Flirting?" A brief pause, before he adds, "I was just curious…"

Nikomachos hisses at a bit of the cleaning, but that's just him being a drama king. "And Sammy has been able to walk around without limping or grimacing, so undoubtedly he's singing your praises, Lady Elodie." He snorts at Ellinor's words, shaking his head, "Yes, because we Valen are so well known for our subtlety and sneakiness." He arches one eyebrow, "And our lack of genealogy." At Ellinor's words, he begins to gather up his armor, clipping it lightly to the waist of his armor one piece at a time, besides the breastplate, which he gathers under his left arm, his right still holding his spear.

"He's all yours, Sir Ellinor," Elodie replies, standing back to let Niko take his armor back. His comment about Sammy brings a tinge of red to her cheeks, and she busies herself with cleaning up after her work on the two Cindravales. The lack of geneology comment draws a puzzled glance upwards, but then she's finished cleaning up. "Well, now that you two are finished, my work is just beginning. Good day to the two of you. I'll just let Sir Erik rest, and then he'll be free to leave when he can stand up without the pain killers making him dizzy." She gives the couple a wave, and sets off down the rows of cots to the next person not being attended.

Ellinor grins toward Elodie in that, perhaps, annoying newlywed manner as she steps up to her husband. "Come now, Valen." She starts toward the Dome as she tucks her helmet under her arm. She glances toward Nikomachos with a bit of a grin. "You do look good in scar tissue," she says idly as she waves to the others and depart off toward the center of Detritus.

Nikomachos nods to the soon-to-be-Cindravale, "Thank you, Lady Elodie. Very neatly done. Sammy's right to brag about your abilities." He steps up to make his way back toward the center of Detritus alongside Ellinor, "You see what she has me doing? Following when she calls. It's all the compliments, I tell you." And then he's shifting his attention to his new wife, "I never, ever thought I would be glad you're half-Khourni, Ellie. But on that point, I am best-pleased."

The idea that Sammel might be bragging about her abilities makes Elodie blush slightly again, but not from embarassment. "You are welcome, Sir Niko." She chuckles, though, as he's lead away. "I do feel sorry for you," she adds… ever so insincerely.

Momoko pffts at Tristan, "Yes it should heal on your own merits fine, just slowly. Takes awhile for your body to repair a hole, but it can. Anyways, calm down. I was making a joke to calm you down. I find that jokes help patients forget that they're actually in a hospital, medical bay, whatever you want to call it. It becomes casual. Anyways, That's all it should take. You'll need some pain meds no doubt but you can get that from your local med post once you get home aight?"

"A joke… I see…" Tristan replies after a few moments of pause now. Shrugging a little, he offers a brief smile. "Never been too good with those, sorry." Another moment of silence, before he grins, "But thanks."

Momoko nods, "Right, so get on out of here and put on a brave face. Can't have the women seeing you down and out in a medical bay can we? Speaking of, What's your name for the report?"
