12.06.3013 — Alexis' Chambers in Landing

Alexis has been largely confined to her home with her injuries to recover and their nature makes the job she sets herself all the more agonizing. With her right hand wrapped in bandages she painstakingly writes letters left handed, using a fountain pen upon real paper, each going through multiple copies before she is satisfied with her calligraphy. Once done they are delivered by sober couriers through the Ways. No doubt they are not the last.

Dear Ernestine Rowe,

I regret to inform you that your son Philip was whilst under my command killed in battle with the Hostiles on the 9th of June year 3013. This took place during the successful boarding of an enemy transport and his bravery in standing his ground until the end helped assure our victory.

Sincerely,
Knight Lieutenant Alexis Oriane Sauveur

Dear Christopher Coleman,

I regret to inform you that your daughter Jeannette died whilst under my command on the 9th of June year 3013. She expired of her wounds after fighting through the successful boarding of a Hostile transport ship, facing the enemy with determination and remaining a soldier until her last moments.

Sincerely,
Knight Lieutenant Alexis Oriane Sauveur

Dear Josefina Young,

I regretfully inform you that your husband Sergeant Franklin was killed in battle under my command on the 9th of June, year 2013. He fell in battle against the Hostiles holding the edge of our shield wall but not without accounting for at least one of them himself. His presence and steady resolve in future battles with be sorely missed.

Sincerely,
Knight Lieutenant Alexis Oriane Sauveur
