Lucretia Nolan

The Violet Siren
The entrance into the Violet Siren gives the illusion of a squat, round building with very little character or flair. It is only when one walks through the ellipse-shaped tunnel, under the glowing black lights, do they realize that the Violet Siren is far more than it seems. The foyer is at the top level of a vast silo that tunnels underground for several stories. Its transparent-composite floors look down through the various mezzanines ringing the interior of silo all the way to the expansive dance floor at the bottom. A series of staircases hug the walls of the cylinder, leading patrons past balconies that supply seating away from the loud thumping and madness of the dance floor and a series of bars to wet ones whistle.

The entire lower level is nothing but dance floor with platforms to provide varied elevation to the bumping, grinding, and thrashing of the vigorous dancers. Scantly-clad waitresses maneuver carefully through the dancers with shotglass vials of neon-colored liquor.

It's nighttime, and the nightclub is hopping for a tuesday night, with young people of all sorts out and about, enjoying drinks and tearing up the dancefloor. Nolan can be found near the bar, leaning up against the counter and waiting for a drink to be delivered over to him appearantly as he looks out across the room.

Lucretia is a fun loving woman, and it's not exactly unusual to see her somewhere like this, and she likely stands out a bit, due to her hat. Out on the dance floor, the younger sister of the Cindravale High Lady dances, wearing a black dress with her boots traded for a pair of heels. A grin on the brunette's face, she turns, twisting away from her current partner and slipping off of the dance floor, a hand coming up to remove her hat as she approaches the bar, her short brown hair framing her face as she glances down the length of the bar, a nod and cheery smile offered to the man nearby, "Good evening! Out to have a bit of fun, are you?"

The drink is delivered, it's something amber with some slight neon swirls in it, the trevails of such a club. Nolan brings it up to take a drink from it as the woman nearby addresses him. He offers a bit of a smile, "Good evening to you as well." He says with a bob of his head, "Yeah, nice night to kick back and relax, yeah." He agrees, though his gaze darts just a little off towards one of the booths across the bar before his attention is fully back your way, "Nolan Vaughn." He introduces.

Idly glancing to the drink, Lucretia continues to smile as the man offers his name, glancing back to him, "A delight to make your acquaintance, Nolan. I'm Lucretia," no surname or title offered. She gestures to the bartender herself, murmuring her request before she asks of Nolan, "Are you looking to do a bit of dancing tonight, or are you one of the people who prefers to settle in the corner and watche everyone else burn off their energy?"

"Pleasure to meet you, Lucretia. Dancing? Well, not much of a dancer.." Nolan says, glancing back off to the booth he had looked at previously, then back towards you, "Sure, I'll give it a shot, Lucretia." He says, lips quirking just a bit.

As her glass arrives, with a dark red fluid in it, Lu lifts it to her lips, taking a sip, and following the man's glance to the booth. She looks back to him, a thin brow arching upwards, "Looking for someone, or are you looking to take a seat?" She swirls her glass idly, smiling at the younger man, "A dance, or a seat, I'm fine with either, my dear fellow. Lead the way, hm?" She drains her glass, and sets it on the bar, offering a hand to Nolan.

The booth would appear to be occupied already, and as you draw attention to it he laughs, "Let's go dance then yeah? I'll try not to set on your feet." He offers with a grin and takes a healthy pull from his glass, killing it quite efficiently before offering out his arm your way.

Taking the man's arm, Lucretia lets him lead the way back out to the dance floor, "Oh, I hope you don't intend to step on my feet. It's not all that hard. I suppose I can lead, if you really need the help, hm?" She grins at the man, their height about even once you factor in heels, "Do you live in Landing, Nolan?"

"Oh, I think I can manage to not cause too much damage." Nolan counters with a grin as he leads you out onto the dance floor. "Come here often?" he asks, waiting for a lull in the crowds to move you out onto the floor.

"Good to know," Lucretia answers. "And mm, I do. Rather frequently. But you didn't answer, now, did you? That's no fair." The brunette grins a little, "I'm looking to make a few useful acquaintances here in Landing, Nolan. Are you a useful sort?" Emerald eyes study the man's face as she speaks, lips quirked in amusement as they reach the dance floor and she turns to face him fully.

"Well, it depends what you find useful, I guess, Lucretia." Nolan says, taking a moment before steppint in, taking hold of you as appropriate to the music, and starting the act of dancing. "I would imagine a lot of people find me useful though." He replies with a bit of a raised brow and a grin.

As the man steps closer, Lucretia adjusts her own stance, easily fitting herself to the man's lead with a fair degree of skill, "I find a lot of things useful. Everything was made with a purpose in mind after all, wasn't it?" She speaks easily as they move, "Oh, so you -are- useful. How delightful. You -must- share, Nolan. What is it that you do?"

Nolan is certaily no dancer, but he's by no mean's clumsy either, and he shrugs his shoulders, "I'm a private investigator, I suppose. " he says, drawing you in a bit closer as he dances with a grin. "The watch doesn't cater to everyone's needs in everyone's ways, afterall, and I'm living here in Landing now, yeah."

"Ahh," Lucretia murmurs, "That means you must know a number of people, yes? Who's who in the Landing, as it were. And perhaps outside tha landing. I could see that being useful." A heart beat of pause, "If you're good at it, anyways," a grin plays across her lips. "And you must come across..interesting information on occasion."

"I know some people." Nolan agrees non-commitally, "Yeah." He says, turning a bit with you on the dance floor as he moves with you, "And sometimes interesting information comes to my attention. Either way, I'm quite good." He says with a little wink.

"You sound like a handy fellow to keep at hand, Mister Vaughn," Lucretia muses as they move with the other dancers, "You freelance, I presume? Have you ever considered a more regular sort of arrangement? I like information, Nolan. It's a wonderful thing to have. And a painful thing to be lacking."

"I don't particularly like having a boss." Nolan replies to Lucretia's question, "Generally doesn't play out real well. But if I come across information I can probably find a place for it that's agreeable, given the right arraingements and incentives." He says with a little nod.

"You don't have to work for me, or answer to me, simply pass along anything of interest you might hear. I can you in the meantime, and offer a bit of a bounty for the information itself," the brunette speaks as they continue to dance, her expression warm. "I am certain the arrangements could be worked out to meet your desires, Nolan." Falling silent and dancing for a few moments, she waits before asking in an amused tone, "You don't have any problems with Cindravale, do you?"

Nolan laughs a bit, "I'm starting to think I shoulda billed you for this dance." he says jokingly to the brunette, "And having a problem with any of the houses doesn't really make for good business in landing." He counters.

"You aren't enjoying my company, Mr. Vaughn? How dreadful," Lucretia draws that last word out and affects a brief pout. Then her expression shifts back into open amusement as they move, "Good, good. I presume you are easy to get in touch with? We can arrange actual figures at a later date."

"I find mixing business and pleasure often mix poorly." Nolan answers with an amused look, "And I'll give you my contact information, you can come by my office at your convenience.."

"Fine, fine, we'll just have to be content with this one little dance. And I will get in touch soon, I come through Landing a number of times each week, often enough," Lucretia muses, shifting to turn and stop the dance with a suble movement guiding the man back towards the bar with her, "Do you have any questions you'd like to ask of me? I like to think I am a good business partner."

"It was quite a nice dance, though." Nolan says with a grin at that, walking along with Lucretia back towards the bar, "I figure any questions I have can wait until you come by to see me." He answers.

"Indeed, a wonderful dance," Lucretia answers, leaning against the bar for a brief moment, "It's Lucretia Cindravale, by the by. I imagine it didn't take long to realize that, but all the same." She takes a moment to get the man's information, a smile curving her lips, "I will be in touch soon then, Mr. Vaughn. Thank you for your time." And then she's turning to head off, a hand rising to adjust her hat.
