A handwritten letter, addressed to the Lady Sir Nicola Rovehn

Lady Sir Rovehn,

I know you must be incredibly busy, but I wanted to take a moment to give you my thanks. It's always been a dream of mine to study at the Academ what I've only been able to find in my own studies on a tablet or in a book. I'm not the best with words, but I want you to know that I'm not trying to study medicine for my own benefit. I want to help the wounded and the sick as best that I can. Your generosity is well above what someone of my station could expect, and I wanted to take the time to let you know it's not a waste. With this sponsorship comes a responsibility to serve my fellows, and I pledge to do just that in every capacity I can. There's a saying my Da uses a lot about horses:
For want of a nail the shoe is lost,
for want of a shoe the horse is lost,
for want of a horse the rider is lost.
I basically take that to mean we've all got our place and our parts to do. If I selfishly don't do mine, then I don't just hurt myself. I'm not certain why I shared that, but it felt important. I sincerely appreciate this, and I just wanted to be clear on what I plan to do with this blessing is all,

Many thanks, Lady Sir Rovehn,
Balius Quellton
