There are worse things in the world than an open, rolling plain outside your window every night. The grasses under your feet, the clomping of horses through your mind and soul. In fact, to some people these are the best things. The finest things in creation. Talynne grew up the middle of the three Rovehn Sisters. It wasn't necessarily a badge of honor that she wore as any protection from the elements of childhood, after all, she was the middle child. It might be that someday, if Leandre were no longer with them, she would become the Heir to the family's ruler ship, but that was never really a possibility in Talynne's mind.
Instead of focusing on the silliness of family lineage and whether or not things will become more or less stressful on her due to her falling in the middle of the group of girls Nicola Rovehn had given birth to, Talynne focused on her more physical pursuits. Early on when she was exposed to the horses trained by her family it became obvious that she had a knack with them, gaining their trust almost immediately. Her knack of garnering attention from them and obedience without so much as a loud word was fairly evident even while Talynne's presence was calming for the animals in return their presence was calming for her. Rather than running off with the other children and playing in the fields or finding one corner or another to get in trouble in while inside the Pod, Talynne made herself regularly busy in helping out around the equine stables, petting and cleaning the horses, working with walking or even riding the more trained of them as she got older. She was capricious and playful, but always so very focused on what fed her interests that it was never a guess where she could be found, never a surprise when her homework for classes was returned with a hoof print on it.
One of her greatest joys as she gained her 10th birthday was when her mother started to allow her to help out with the training of War Horses. Here she flourished, able to call commands, work with them, keep them calm and able to handle anything while carrying a fully adorned rider on their backs. In a strange twist, when she told her mother she wanted to become a knight she was fully supported. Of course Nicola would never be upset about the fact that her daughter wanted to be a knight, no, she was supportive either way. But the knowledge that becoming a knight would help Talynne train the horses to be prepared for war made it even more spectacular a choice for the middle child of Nicola Rovehn. Due to her desire to be taken in to the Knighthood, Nicola brought forward a knight for Talynne to squire for. Starting late in her 10th year Talynne worked with her knight, practiced, cleaned, took care of his horse better than anyone else had. Mainly because she couldn't allow herself not to. Her service to her knight during her squirehood was only broken up during times where they had new horses to train and break in. And even then, that fed into her training as a knight because she would wear armor, practice using her armament, and even train the new horses to handle being platforms for firing her arrows.
During her time training with her Knight it was discovered that Talynne had an affinity for the bow. Her time on horseback her entire life led to her stability there, and her playful runs at Horseback Acrobatics just made her all the better. While she did practice with her sword, she also gave a decent amount of attention to her archery. Her attentive eyes, deemed the Eagle Eyes to her talons, kept her with a good range of visual definition that when coupled with her strength and skill had really started to help her out at being a ranged opponent. In order to better her dexterity, the Knight she studied under suggested that she take up drawing, at which point Talynne began to draw horses. It seemed it was really all she knew, so she drew them. Not perfectly, but she at least gave it a good go.
Once she'd reached her 18th birthday, it was official that she was to become a Knight. Not only was she highly trained in the Knightly pursuits, but also as a Calvary rider by her family. Wearing moderate armor with flexible joints she was able to wield her bow and arrow effectively for ranged targets even while she took matters into her own hands with her sword when necessary. In truth, she prefers to keep her enemy at bay and simply kill them with her arrows. When called upon she goes forth to fight for the World, to keep them safe from the Hostiles. While she's not at the front line with her Black Draught Stallion, Sinner, Talynne is back at home at the Vale, working with the horses there.
While her mother and grandmother deal with the Royal houses when it comes to selling their horses, Talynne tends to deal a lot with the Cindravale's, as the daughter that does the most with working with the horses and breeding them to be precisely what is desired and needed. Her specialty to this day is war horses, though she can train any and all to be properly broken and listen to their masters. She does go with her mother every so often, and sometimes even her Grandmother to display the horses for the Royalty that choose to purchase them, but on those visits she is fairly silent, just listening in and helping to show the Sauveur's the horses they have to choose from.
