Background
House Peake is known for being sturdy, and Sir Agnes is no exception. Despite being Lord Trentin's sister, and being long into her childbearing years, she never married. This was in part to her dedication to the Knighthood, but mostly because very few men ever showed an interest in the 6'3" tall warrior woman with the plain face and muscular physique.
Agnes adored the tales of the bravery of knights and after many years of being teased for her height, she asked permission to be squired. When she was 10 years of age and taller than most teenaged boys, she was squired to Sir Meryn, a cousin of the Peake line.
Her training was long and hard, but she took to it with a single-mindedness. She had spent her childhood being bullied, now she would rise above those tormentors by becoming their protector, and their better. She would be a defender of those weaker than her, and use her oft-teased about height to its best purpose. Even her Knight teased her lightly about her size, by giving her the byname of "The Bear."
At the age of 18, she was Knighted, and gifted with her destrier, Sable, who served her for fifteen years before being retired. He was replaced with her current mount, a dapple grey named Argent, won in a tournament. She excelled in tournaments, especially with the sword and great sword, which became her favored weapons. The grand melees were where she felt most alive, and in control, despite the chaos. Her wit and strategic tactics won her acclaim.
She has been religious in her protection of House Peake, and its noble family, and has spent a great deal of time working out strategies and tactics for fending off the alien invasion. She is devout to the Knight, and known to pray to him often. She went to Khournas in February, to help with rescue efforts after the volcanic eruption. She is a solid rock, and the only time she seems to let her guard down is around children, for whom she likes to sing and relate the Knightly histories. She has spent the last decade training squires and knights, rising through the ranks, to prepare for the coming war.
Characteristics
Description
This woman looks to be in her mid-to-late 30s. She is a veritable bear of a woman, standing 6'3" tall and built with the muscularity of a knight who has spent a lifetime honing her martial skills. She has a short shock of blond hair that seems perpetually mussed, and clear blue eyes set in a plain face. She wears golden-hued defender armor, stylized to be reminiscent of the ancient knights of old, looking much like traditional platemail, although made with modern materials. She has a monoblade sword at her hip whose scabbard looks well worn from frequent use.
Quirks
- Honorbound: Agnes has been so focused on her Knighthood, that it has come at the expense of all other facets of her life. She has never married or had children, is somewhat awkward in formal social situations, and tends to find the concept of "having fun" to be entirely foreign.
- So Tall!: Being a 6'3" tall woman, built for combat, is not very conducive to romantic relationships or even friendships with those who are deemed to be in fashion. Her clothing has to be custom tailored, usually from menswear. She dealt with a good amount of mockery in her youth, and is likely made fun of behind closed doors even now. Her byname of "The Bear" suits her.
Argent
This dapple-grey Destrier was won by Agnes in a tournament some two years ago. The stallion is every bit as stubborn as Agnes is, but the two have bonded solidly. He is four years old, trained for combat situations, and comported himself nobly and with calm surety during rescue operations after the volcanic eruption in February 3013. He is known to bite handlers, grooms, and random strangers, loves apples, and hates having his hooves touched by anyone other than Sir Agnes. His barding bears the sigil of House Peake, and he has been used in combat, training, and jousting for tournaments.

A warning to the people,
The good and the evil,
This is war.
To the soldier, the civilian,
The martyr, the victim,
This is war.

I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust

Rumors
The Saimhann Household skillfully kept all press away from Spikka by having the Head of House give a thrilling address to the people of the Drake mountains.
Of course, the real event was going on in the Drakholt according to some of our sources to be left unnamed. cuts to a view of the outside of the fortress of Spikka According to these sources, the power of the Drakholt went offline for nearly an hour, as a large gathering of nobles were locked inside. There are stories from a few that the nobles were resourceful and were able restore power after just about fourty-five minutes.
photos of Jarek and Agnes at the Sauveur-Cindravale Wedding We've kept this story under wraps for a while now, as there was little information to support the theory that Lady Sir Agnes Peake and Young Lord Jarek Saimhann are sharing what up until now has mostly been the Young Lord's paramount's line of work. That is to say, we now believe these two Knight Lieutenants are doing more than preparing patrols, and that the battles they talk about aren't exactly with the Hostiles.
One wonderful source of information claims that she both heard and witnessed an occurrance between the two. Young Lord Jarek and Lady Sir Agnes were drinking together after the lights came back on, a discussion of Jarek's rather conviently timed placement of hands, and then Lady Sir Agnes bellowing at the Heir to just kiss her already. To which he seemed almost too happy to comply. Another photo of the two dancing together at the wedding These are the only known photos ot the two together in a non combat situation. And if the report that the Young Lord of the Saimhanns took to one knee is true, we'll wait to see what his father and her brother think. A final selection of photos of Agnes and Jarek walking her arm through his.
